Problems with a Pro Peak Constellation Peak Charger

I have had the charger and hardly ever used it as you put on a fully discharged 2200mah battery pack on the right settings and it says it has finished charging at 600mah  and when you put it in the car it is slow and doesn't last long but when I quick charge it on my  Ansmann 30min  it goes much faster and lasts longer

could you tell me what I am doing wrong???

CHEARS in advance,

the pack is false peaking, usually happens with new battery packs for the first half dozen charges sometimes..if your sure they arent charged just hit the charge button again.

also if you can alter the mv peak setting it may be set too low,but not sure on what that charger does.

I have it running off of a constant 12v 5a power supply

and have tried it with new batteries at 3000 ,  2200

and used  3000 ,  2200

I just don't know what to do

Sling it?  Sounds like the charger is NBG to be honest.

I don't know, but is this related to the Ripmax Pro Peak chargers?  If so it'll work great when it's working but the first thing you'll know about it failing is when it's cooked a load of your packs - we've noticed a worrying trend that most packs we get back as faulty have been charged on a "Pro Peak" charger - probably 3:1 on these than other brands - makes me suspect that where other brands pop a fuse if they go faulty, the propeaks peak circuit goes and cooks your pack?

Anyone got a comment on this?

the reason why the pro peaks cook cells is because they are a pulse charger, nimh do not tolerate pulse charging very well unlike nicads....how they can sell that charger and claim it is suitable for nimh isnt right...

i still think you need to up the delta peak,do you have a link for your charger?
