Hi all, hoping to get some info on springs for the Tamiya 53037 Hi Cap Dampers.

What Hop Up springs do these dampers take? I've got the standard springs that come with the 53037 sets, and a set of Top Force Evo ones, but need some harder ones for my track, any ideas? Ideally I'd like a Hop Up set for the Top Force Evo because the front springs are slightly shorter than the rears... all said and done though I'd take four rear springs for the 53037's because I'm happy to manage the difference with front pre-load adjustment.

Any insights with product numbers would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The item number you're looking for is 53054, comes with 3 pairs of springs, which are different in length. It's mostly in Japanese, but its says that medium should be used for the rear damper for a TF. I'm using the stiff ones in the rear of mine though.

They'll work for the front of the Egress (Hi Cap Mini dampers) but not for the rear (Hi Cap Short dampers)... so it really depends on whether you want to strengthen the front and not the rear... it may pay to pickt hem up tho, they're rare and a set of Hi Cap Short springs will eventually come along...

Cheers,

I think i'll get the minis and keep them until a set of shorts turn up. Also got a box of mixed damper oil so should be able to resolve the issues.

Thanks for the help and advice

Ross,

There are two sets of 53054's on eBay right now in case you haven't picked some up yet.

Thanks for remembering me, got some on the way!

:)
