Just before i got hooked on tamiya again,.I went to a car boot sale last year,..i see this scruffy kid walking away from a stall with a blue + white Beatties bag,.top of the bag was all ripped open,. but inside was sat an extremely tidy Sand Scorcher[:(],.(didnt know at the time until i stumbled across this site),.kid was also carrying a period acoms transmitter,. he must have got it it for next to nothing[:(] , still lie awake a night now wondering what fate the car met! Last christmas my Inlaws gave me a $150 gift certificate to a hobby shop. I was all set to buy the Wild Willy 2 kit they had. There were a bunch of guys waiting for the shop to open the day after christmas. And wouldn't you know it, some other jerky was on the same quest for that kit. Needless to say, thats one of the reasons I don't have a WW2

Or better yet, how about waiting for the last seconds of the auction, you have your bid placed, just got to hit submit.....5-4-3 submit..........." Please enter your password to confirm your bid (or something like that) Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Noooooooooooooooo!

Missed a couple of good ones, including two MBs for £15. But then I have had more than my fair share of bargains, £22 wrangler, £30 mint superchamp, £20 boomerang. Bet you're all salivating!

A monster beetle NIB (that a TC member was selling on ebay). I ummmmd and errrrd for a while, even emailed the seller about the manual being missing, next day it was sold (it had a reasonable BIN). Ever since I feel gutted and wonder why on earth I didn't buy it, since I've been looking out for one forever [:(]

Nearly got a Blazing Blazer for £90. Needed plenty of work but was all there. I saw it once at racing and was going to buy it the next week, within a couple of days though the seller changed his mind. A couple of weeks later we had an old racer in the shop I work at looking to get started again. They mentioned the seller saying they had an old Tamiya that belonged to them. Turns out though that the Blazer was lent to him by this guy and never given back. Within a week the Blazer was back to its original owner and on Ebay. Was a bargain price but I am sort of glad I missed out. Chances are I'd have had to give the Blazer up anyway!
