Bit small but they work ;)

Real technical this one, had to break out the serious tools :D

First off, to face the tyres off flat once cut, make a drill adaptor using a drive-cup thingy with the end cut off. (use a hacksaw, NOT a tenon saw ;) )

I'm using HPI offset rims, which fit perfectly inside B&Q 53mm drainpipe (not in the plumbing section)

For these rims, I cut 4 x 30mm long rings, and jammed them on.

The rims have a 'taller' inner bead, so I butted the drainpipe up to that instead of cutting it off.

I just ran a bead of Araldite around the inner bead, but to be honest the pipe is a pretty good fit, so probably won't need it.

TO compensate for the lowered ride height, I fitted longer ends to the shocks, acheiving around 6mm clearance underneath

Lexan underguard, just to keep the junk out

Couple more purdy shots ;)

TWINSET - what are those wheels, where did you get them, where can I get some?

They look like just the thing I need for my drift project [:D]

Currently I have some very tasty chrome rims, but they don't have a

wide enough offset and look a bit silly under the 200mm Parma shell

Thinking about it, if you want to use your rims, you might want to see if TG-10 driveshafts will fit - what chassis do you have?

They fit stock TB01 and TL01 for sure (note the extra 'bit' under the '0' of TG-10)

Part number is 50808

Cheers for the info Twinset, although I've ordered a set of wide offset

rims like yours but black - will suit my project very well

indeed.  I much prefer the look of the deep rims anyway [:)]

I'll keep the chrome ones for regular racing.

I think there may be 1-2 mm difference in OD, certainly the Tamiya rim wouldn't even look at the tubing (original kit rims) but I'm not sure if that's just the outer bead lip being taller, or the whole bead diameter being bigger.
