Personally find forums with many, large or animated smilies pretty distractive to read, propably just being too vintage again... LOL

I think the normal ones like [] size are fine - but bigger ones are distracting and whilst fine for msn chat not the best when people are writing paragraphs on a subject then to have flashing animations as well i dont think will be very constructive. So keep them small like [] size and its all cool in my opinion.
