i checked through a few model lists but didnt find any, just wondered if it is a pro/trf or just a hopped up one

thanks in advance

Tamiya never made a Pro or TRF chassis until the TA03. The nearest is

the TA02 RS with hard prop shaft, speed tuned gears, front one way,

rear anti roll bar and universals all round. Apart from those parts it

was your standard plastic chassis and shock mounts and standard plastic

shocks.

Back than Tamiya didn't call it TRF or Pro, just hop up.

I believe the hop up chasis consisted of upper and lower FRP decks and FRP shock mounts along with battery slots. It fits TA02, TAO2W and TA01.  The box itself indicate which chasis will fit.

The rear sway bar is a hop up item

The metal CVA is a hop up item

Tamiyadan, there are several
mistakes/innaccuracies in your post:

"yes they did actually but its not what you think, it actually came out
when TA01 chassis were the norm."

Only 9 TA01 kits were released before the switch to TA02, which underlines the fact that the 9 TA02 kits that preceeded the RS were enough to push the TA01 to "oblivion". Only 8 TA02 kits were released after the RS, of which only 4 were regular TA02 and not TA02W and TA02SW.

"They released a special racing chassis which came with no body and no
tires."

Tires and wheels were included.
Wheels were 53232 (front) and 53233 (wide rear) type. More on tires later.

"it included a few hopups over stock TA01 chassis. Basically the kit was a

TA01 upgraded to a Ta02."

It had all the features of the TA02 and non of the TA01 specific ones. So it’s more appropriate to say it was an upgraded TA02.

"Everything else was stock to a Ta02."

53219 Machined ball diff pressure plates with onepiece thrust bearing, 53098 stainless steel hinge pins, 53200 front oneway, 53115 TA01/TA02 rear universals and 53127 speed tuned gear set, super slicks (532220 front, 53228 wide rear) and front shaped tire inserts (53209), 4 "tuned" springs from 53163 were included.

"Some people thought the Ta02SW was a pro kit but it was just a ta02 with
longer rear dogbone outdrives and a alumium spacer to widen the rear stance and
Fliped Ta01 arms with some Ta01 front end parts."

"You could build a Ta02 to TFR spec only with the hopup tamiya parts and
some of the hopup parts, had hopups also, the TA02 Plastic fiber conversion
chassis could be hopuped up to carbon fiber but you couldn't get a carbon fiber
as a direct hopup you had to by the fiber version first to gain the extra
hardware and plastic pieces you needed."

All the parts necessary to fit CF chassis plates were available as separate parts (although not in 50xxx / 53xxx series). 0115177 are the J-parts, 9406055 the hardware and other small non-plastic parts.

"there was also alumium outdrive hopups for the ball diff hopup"

If you mean joint cups when using the term “outdrivesâ€, these were hardened steel and were included with the RS (53217). However, if you mean the aluminium pressure plates, these were included with the RS too (53219).

"and later there was a low friction gear set which were thinner gears with
a smaller contact patch to reduce driveline drag"

If this existed, it was surely not in the 50xxx and
53xxx series.

"there was also a Camber hopup for the TA01 which you lost when you
converted to TA-02 parts and also if you changed to the Aluminum nuckle
carriers, which could further be inhanced with a bearing conversion."

53192 “4WD/FWD Touring & Rally Car Turnbuckle Upper Arm Set†(camber hopup) were compatible with TA01 and TA02 (and FF01) as the official description also indicates. This set was in fact released after the release of the first TA02 (58128). 53226 Aluminum knuckle carriers could be used with adjustable arms, and as the original plastic carrier was identical for DF01, TA01, TA02 and FF01, the alu part could be used with all these chassises too. 850 bronze bushings were included and 850 BB’s could be fitted.

Theo, thx for pointing out. The best TA02 ever produced was the RS version. It came with rock hard front inserts, super slicks, option prop shaft, black gearbox cases, 66/69T, colored springs, One way, aluminum diff housing etc... Couldn't remember all for now.

Still remember in the old days, I took this kit apart and sell individually.
