any word on the next clumber meet?

Recommended Posts

Good idea Damon, 1 meet per month is a good idea.We could make it the 2nd Sunday of every month or something like that.Do you think we could have a word with Richard Turpin to see if they can give us some kind of a group discount?

right chaps, this meeting on jan 14th is shaping up to be a good un! [Y] its always great to see new faces so if you haven't been before,  give it a try and we'll guarantee you'll be back for more! [:D]

also need to give a mention to ' joelvardy ' whose hoping to make it on the 14th, he's also started a website dedicated to these meets, at the moment its hosted here:   but if it gets interest hes hoping to www. it, so thanks and respect to him for taking the time and effort to do that, nice 1 matey! [Y] [H] its in its early days but well worth a look and you can add your details to it.

personally i think we should try and keep these clumber meets to 1 a month, i know not everyone can make it all the time due to family comittments etc, but should be well worth a go.[:)]

also chaps if you didnt already know 'netsmithuk' has a clumber bashers S.I.G  well worth joining for interested peeps. [;)]

cheers damon (devilsome)

I wasn't going to make it public until I had it on the proper URL but as it is now public, do you have any suggestions. I will also archive all of the past meets if you send me the pics and vids (PM me for my Email) as was said there is still work to be done but I think that it will help the newcomers find information and details!

I suppose this is a plea of boredom but I would take any suggestions you might have for the site (news section, the archives ect...)

Also if you are a regular I will put you on the "normal group" page (with you own email) lol

I am working on a few images from Google earth now (but not quite sure where you go from the main gates???)

Joel P.S  - there are a lot of you on to say most of you should be on the P*SS, lol

Hi all. I'm off work on the 14th... Where is this place? :) Would be great to give the buggies a run out, and I might be able to round up 1 or 2 others to make the trip with.

I'm coming from Walsall (which is in the general vicinity of Birmingham for those who don't know...) but I'm quite good with a map. Just a place name and postcode I can shove into Multimap would be fine!

Many thanks and a happy new year to all!

You need to be on the A614 North of Ollerton to get to the main entrance, which is where everyone seems to meet, or at least did previously, so here goes.

From Derby take the A38 to Mansfield.

The go round Mansfield to take the A6075 to Ollerton.

Then turn North onto the A614.

Clumber Main entrance is on the left 100-200m before the roundabout joining the A1.

For more details especially things like getting round Mansfield I'd suggest the AA route planner at theaa.com.

Trev

I think this may answer your question, i know it is sign posted from the A1 on the roundabout as i have passed it many times. Hoping this time to stop in and have a blast though [H] I should have my hotshot II as well as the MB, both will be on maiden off-road voyages for me wahooooooooo!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhhh....Good point.

Having not been myslf either i'm not too sure. All i know is that there is a sign from the A1 on the roundabout that says "Clumber park 1/2 mile" so i'm assuming thats the main enterance. I have a feeling there will be a fair few of us milling about in various locations lol.

Thanks for adding them [Y]

hi all,

we normally meet in the cafe car park @ 11.00, this is on the A614 100 yards from the A1 roundabout opposite the stone archway into clumber park. we normally stay there till 11.20ish after that we will be in the park about a mile down on the right! look for blue escort or a load of nutters jumping r/c's off ramps! [Y] [;)]

cars being currently prepped for this meet are:

dyna storm [Y]

dark impact

astute (first outing) [:o]

desert gator

wild one

and possibly hornet/frog [^o)]

cheers damon! [:)

Well I will get my mum to try and get me to this café but if she can’t get to it I will just meet you at the BBQ area! << you are going there aren’t you?

My cars:
Mad
Fighter
Grasshopper
Blackfoot Extreme
???  Desert Gator  ???
And Possibly My New Kyosho Alpha 2 (but really I want to sell this)

I need to buy some new batteries because after the performance I had yesterday I can tell you I would probably not enjoy my first experience at clumber! I think I will get some these:

C54999

Carson 7.2v Nicad 1900mAh Race Pack

I also need some new transmitter batteries.

I will be bringing 2 Ansmans AC30’s  but unfortunately I will have run them from the car [:'(]

i cant remember who but i think  trevcoult was using those carson batts and wasn't getting on well with them and i think they cost as much if not more than the vapextech 1's

nearly ready, bought 3 new 3000nimh packs for sunday (hope they arrive on time) built a new 2100AA pack for my Atec mini monster instead of the stick pack so might be a bit less top heavy now! also waiting on an opel ascona 400 coming throught the post, if i can get it running in time then its coming along too. thought about rebuilding my RW mantaray after spotting some cracks in the rear gear box but i cant be bothered so i'm gonna really abuse it on the ramp untill it breaks! no sandrover this time though as its undergoing body resto. I'll be bringing 2 large car batterys to charge off, if anyone is strugling for charging on the day give me a shout.

I just want to know if any of you going to the 14th meet want a Rising Storm or a BMW M Roadster Box, They aren't excellent condition. I have no space to keep them!

Just a note, Would any of you be interested in buying an Alpha 2 GP Brand new built, (If so then when I pick my packs up I will get the pull-start and fuel pipe, also a shell if you want one,) only asking because I need cash and also I can give it you there so there ain't £10 postage, if interested then send me an email through the forum!
