I popped round to my mates tonight to get a CV boot done on my 1/1 car and he said to me about my lunchy sitting on the back seat........He then told me he had a few "old runners" kicking about @ his outlaws.......15 mins later and we are retuning from the said outlaws with a Manta Ray chassis, an origional Grasshopper, some form of a Kyosho and a nitro Thundertiger of some description!!!!

The meet sounds like it's coming along nicely and it's great that so many of us are making it for the weekend. Should be one to remember [h]

Cheers Damo, no trailer this time, i'll be towing my trailertent instead, i should prob let Trev know incase it has any effect on the pitch price i guess,

TREV! please book me a pitch for 1 trailer-tent on sat night, with electric if poss please dude[] cheers mate, i'll bring the spare tent just incase you need it, its nearly new, only been out 3 times i think.

so now i have about 2 weeks to sell all my cars and replace them with 1/18th losi buggys and tamtechs so i can travel without my trailer[:'(] mind, if i have my usuall luck, there wont be much left that runs by sunday so should fit in the escort easy.

hows the crawler/slow TXT coming on Damo? cant wait to try my mammoth dumptruck based crawler out, will be interesting as it has the same axles and main gearbox, just with an extra reducing gear and single motor, thinking i might run 9.6v then i can still use a cheap Msonics speed controller! gonna try it with the orig tamiya MESC, odd looking mech/elec hybrid thing, dont know how much current it'll take but it has inline blade fuse and the orig truck can carry 4kg so it might be ok?[:^)]

kingedie, the MSCs will take any current at full power it is when you change to one of the lower speeds and it goes into the resistor you have problems!

I have run 2 11t motors and 4 7.2v batteries soo that is 28.8V and full power it was super (the car started o take off quite literally!) but as soon as I went low speed the resistor cooked instantly with a lot of smoke

Joel, its not an MSC with a resistor, its an Electrical Mechanical Speed Controller with a pot and transisters, its very odd and unique to the dump truck, think there's a pic in my showroom? perhaps someone could pick you up on the sat morning? email me with where you live and i'll look at a map, i come from scunthorpe, through gainsborough, retford, and past ranby prison.

well i took them both to that bit we looked at in the woods last time (grassy hill bit)

my lad was driving the slower 1 which he parked to the right of my camera (on its little tripod), and i filmed the faster 1 coming off the bank then for some unknown reason (driver error maybe) [:$] it cartwheeled at speed past the camera and into the slow 1 taking out 3 links and the 2 centre shafts.

but hey!! at least i didnt break my camera! []
