im in for the next meet.bringing my twin detonator for its first run but it will be a gentle run cos the girlfriend thinks its an expencive hobby and i need to prove her wrong.my mate might be up for it but he has a nitro truck.is it electric cars only?

your more than welcome mate! :-)  there is no problems with nitro @ clumber, plenty of space for them!  we usually meet up at the cafe opposite the entrance at around 11.00, keep watching this thread for details nearer the time! hope to see you there!

i wish i was going now, boo hoo [:'(] i plan to be at the next one, but i'm moving house on the 23rd so its all go go go at the moment. As for running nitro's it usually ain't a problem as i have run my 1/6 2 stroke carson then (steadily ... honest []) at it was fine but i reckon other visitors may object if it was busy or lots of people there, which at this time of year is unlikely.

we'll be at the cafe car park (opposite entrance) at 11.00ish after that look for a blue escort on the right hand side (in park) near bbq area.

and i think 'trevcoult' has battery to charge from!

been having a sort out and found an old car charger, i'll bring it with me and if it works your welcome to use it fella!

also does anyone have any marker dots or something like? maybe an idea to mark out a track for a bit of fun!

phil, if your going along A57 towards A1 go to and around the roundabout on A1 and take the A614 the cafe carpark is 100 yards on your left opposite the park entrance.

i'll let trev explain the brushless business as i dont quite understand it myself! lol

but it makes the car quick! []

Brushless is an electric motor that doesn't use brushes!

Need a compatible ESC as this actually senses the position of the armature of the motor and switches the electricity supply appropriately. End up with the power of a top modified motor without all the maintenance hassle. If you really want to know more see somewhere like here .
