Am really looking forward to this, hope it's not too cold being the middle of winter.

Quick question, how many batteries do people take? I've only got 2 that I'd trust at the moment, was thinking about getting another 4 to make 6 in total. Does that sound about right to last the day?

Don't worry about your batteries, i could re-charge your batts on the day, just let me know what battery connector you use to make sure i have all the charge leads i need.

Great stuff, I'm running Deans on them all (Li-Po).

My Li-Po charger does have a 12v car charger with it but I wasn't sure how well it works, do you need your engine running for like an hour to make sure it doesn't flatten the 1:1 car battery?

If the battery is in good order then you will be fine, assuming you won't be constantly charging your lipos. I normally carry a set of jump leads in my car anyway, just in case the worst happens.

Steve, i have a deans charge lead so your fine.

Nice one, cheers matey. I'm probably gonna end up chatting and tinkering more than driving but it's good to know.

At the next meet on February 2nd, we're planning on a Tamiya Wheelie race just for a bit of fun.

....so to all those intending on going; if you have a Tamiya Wheelie, bring it along :)

We'll use our homemade track and have a zone that you have to wheelie over - just to break it up a bit.

Ta, J

Sounds like Happy Tractor will need to get his race face on! :)

Just 2 weeks until the Feb 2nd meet :)

I'm really looking forward to the Tamiya Wheelie race :)

We're also trying to gather a load of FAVs together. We're on 5 so far. :)

mite have to go see a m8 who lives in worksop for a weekend when you run this :)

Dude, you need to do it! You'll love it and would be good to meet up again for some banter. Worksop is literally next door to Clumber.

1 week to the next ClumberRcMeet :-)

Just a quick note on the Tamiya Wheelie Fun Race. It looks like there will be a LOT of wheelies (excellent!) so, to avoid disappointment, it's worth making sure they're running GHz.

I'm delighted to say that there will be another FREE Raffle at this Sunday's ClumberRcMeet.

This time courtesy of the RC Stockroom: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/rcstockroom/

Top prize is a Brushless 1/16th Rally Car!! Loads more prizes too. I'll give 1 ticket to every attendee who comes with an RC car and call the winners around 13:00.

My wife is a bit poorly so it doesn't look like we'll be able to be there for the whole event this time. However we'd like to make it for the wheelie race at least. Any idea as to when that is due to take place? Thanks!

Right, Happy Tractor is psyched for the wheelie race, batteries are on charge, wife is feeling better, all looks set for a great day tomorrow!

Other than the wheelie models and FAVs, are there any other themed sessions or races planned that would suit certain models?

Here's the Wheelie Race Trophy. WR-02 'Tree' (coz it's a park) with the wheelie wheel still intact.

Thanks to the organisers, sponsors and fellow participants in another excellent Clumber Park meet! Although other unavoidable commitments meant that we missed the wheelie race and the raffle draw, it was still a lot of fun to run our models in a friendly atmosphere, and admire all the other great models in attendance. Hope we can make it to the next one too!

So, who won the trophy, who won the main raffle prize, and who took some good photos and video? :)
