Motor/ gear ratio in TL-01, help please!

Thanks for looking, Tl-01 newbie here, got the speed tuned gear set, 19T (stock) motor pinion and Tamiya super stock type-s motor (23T), with mtronic eco20 ESC. (car fully ball raced).

I think final gear ratio is 5.95:1 (from speed tuned gear set instruction sheet, considering the pinion gear type) Car goes fine, very fast  (for me), compared to stock. Can anyone advise does this set up sound OK? (the reason i ask is that the motor instructions say 7-8:1 gear ratio), and i cant get to this unless i change back to standard gear set which seems a bit pointless in buying it!

I'm confused a bit now

Speed tuned gear set is more for slow (stock silver can) motors, hotter motors are overgeared with it and will overheat, draw too much current and won't be as fast as they should, better change back to original gears.

thanks Theo, changed back to original gears, may eventually just change 19T pinion to 21T (as the motor instructions suggest) for a bit more speed.
