Jim the wookie 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Escort body! Man i'd be all over that, i don't even own the chassis it's being proposed for but i'd get one! My 1 to 1 toy is a '79 Esci coupe in continental porsche orange. Ditto comments on short comings of parma shell for australia, plus no matter how good you are with alclad lexan chrome paint it never looks as good as the chome bumpers, grilles and fittings and there is a lot of chrome on a ranger shell even when it is lexan molded! Again just my 5 cents Jim the wookie
Kamtec-Keef 0 Posted October 17, 2006 I think my best bet then is to buy the Parma body , copy it and improve on it where needed. Then I can offer ABS and lexan . Thanks, Keith

terry.sc 16 Posted October 17, 2006 The parma blackfoot body has 3 big problems 1) its exspensive compaired to alot of lexan bodys (i dont want to pay for a name) 2) its hard to get hold of in the uk if you dont want to import it or want to pay for it with paypal 3) its lexan not ABS an abs version of the f150 body would be great for runners as you could fit a driver and it could easily be modified it wouldnt need all the little details like the side badges etc as there usualy well worn off the originals and it would make a very nice body to use for street convertions etc Pete 1) £18 is only the same price or cheaper than other shells. 2) See twinsets link Modelsport stock it [] http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...amp;ItemID=1180 3) If Kamtec make one it will look the same whether made of lexan or ABS, it will not look likeTamiyas injection moulded shell. Bigwheels_inc 11 Posted October 18, 2006 3) If Kamtec make one it will look the same whether made of lexan or ABS, it will not look likeTamiyas injection moulded shell. thats a good thing and the main reason it would be a good idea you wouldnt want to break a beautifully detailed body but for runners they would be great as i could save the good bodys and run the kamtec ones knowing i can replace them easily rather than hunting for good bodys at £30+ on ebay and not running them for fear of breaking them im not one for having original bodys on runners but i am going to buy a parma lexan body (thank you for pointing out the link to me) but i do still like to run abs bodys on my runners and as long as they resemble the originals as in the main features (wheel archs and the right basic shape) im happy Pete
