Nikko Toyota Hilux

Recommended Posts

When I was about 9 or 10, living in Buckingham****e, my parents bought be a Nikko truck before any Tamiya model. I think it was in fact a whole year before. Despite the benefit of being able to run it straight from the box, it wasn't the Hotshot I wanted at the time. The next year, I received a Boomerang, which is history now, however, recently I decided to find out a little about the car I had owned. There is a lot of water under the bridge, I think perhaps a quarter of a century and I can't even remember the name of the truck, except that it was red, had a winch and was a Nikko.

A quick search on the internet brought me full circle back to my home from home of Tamiyaclub.com (despite having done a search) and I think I have found it in the recent post of sgt.barnes. I am pretty sure it is the Winch Hilux 4WD mini. It was definitely small, had 2 speeds on the bottom and I remember the controller (thought not the box) and red, with a closed rather than open bed at the back.

I am delighted to be reunited with the memory even if it isn't in my collection and once again Tamiyaclub.com has rekindled some thoughts for me.

Keep well,

Paul.
