I think the "limited" character makes a bit of a difference here.

That feeds the hype, so I think the anni 934 kit stays around $600,- (normal selling price) a bit longer than average new kits.

Sure, the first ended around $1400,- but that was the very first one, quite obvious imho.

Nostradamus is quite busy these days....

Aw'ell, we'll see.

Dee - Saw you buy one as I was buying mine... [<:o)] £71.33 in UK inc shipping!!  What recommendations do people have for some miniature radio gear (ESC (that will take a modded 370 motor, servo and 27MHz receiver).. ? I assume it normal AS16 servo's etc are too big?

Nope, 58xxx kits aren't theoretically limited, but sometimes they can be discontinued quicker then a "limited" 49xxx kit LOL, but wouldn't worry about that for the High Lift, its doing so great that stopping its production would be shooting at their own leg.

arent all tamiya stuff limited to a certain extend though?  I mean look at the mountainer right back in the 90s that was not considered limited, but yet it stopped production all of a sudden.

In end everything isn't unlimited, propably even the universum, question is how its defined (49xxx are defined a priori as limited production kits, while some 58xxx just were shortly produced as they flopped - yes, even the Mounty!) and how limited a limited production run is.

i could be wrong, but the hype for the TT porsche 934 is coming down I just seen one on ebay dutch auction for 90 bucks.

I guess you are refering to the one Jason (JR-RC) sells, right?

If it is, that's the one I bought yesterday.

This price will stay around for a while, it's the normal (stabilized) price for the TTG 934.

It's still a hype because they're selling like hot cakes!

Got mine today. (it only took three days from Japan to The Netherlands and no taxes!).

Another thing that I don't like about this release of the 1/12 TamTech 934:

When building a static kit (white body) of the vintage 1/12 934 with the Vaillant livery including the driver (W-parts), the seller can state: "Decals are no repros, original Tamiya!".

That is NOT a lie but a deceiving promotion of the auction

So beware! (for people who are looking for an original vintage 934).

Ah well, so be it.

I think I will have a lot of fun building it and enjoy it.

That's what's most important anyway!

THX Tamiya!

This chassis is just excellent for it's size!

The kit comes with full ball bearings,a ball diff.and a slipper clutch.

Everything is adjustable (camber, toe-in, ride height front), the only thing it needs are oil shocks.

Pretty impressive for that kind of money!

The chassis took me 3 hours to build (couldn't resist [A]), what a great kit!

THX Tamiya!!!

Well, front suspension has 4x plastic 850 bearings but as you say its a lovely kit and a joy to build! [H]

I thought the same - an amazing amount of material for the money.

And you're right about those dampers - they look particularly bad when compared to the rest of the kit.

I used a some 'damper grease' on the shafts to soften the action a little, but it didn't help much.

Does anyone know if the GB01 oil dampers fit the GT chassis?

Anyone got an answer for this..?

I put my TTG 934 order thru before Xmas, payment went out of the bank a few days ago so I hope to receive it soon!!

I

was under the impression standard servo, receiver and ESC would be fine

for this application - if not, are there any recommendations?

Hey all,

This might be a silly question, but oh well right?  If this new TTG 934 is 1/12 scale is it similar in size to the 1/12 959?  And if it is, would it be able to accept a 540 size motor, as did the 959?  I'd really like to get one of these, as I like the size, but I'm concerned about the speed with smaller motor.

Thanks,

Rob

According to manual only servos up to 33x33mm will fit, such as Futaba S-3102 and S-3103.

Thanks DJ - got original Tamiya servo and ESC ordered [:)]
