Hi,

On the rc-champ website they have five different prices for the tamtech 934.......is this the basic price and then with hop ups etc??..also the basic price of 7600 yen seems cheap...

Cheers simon

P.S  i have a 494000 934 in the for sale section.

Yes, RCchamp always makes different versions with hops and or electronics, the cheapest is always just the Tamiya kit.

I must voice that I think this is all going to be such a shame.

I mean think about it. 1000 kits produced at $500 dollars each. Who is going to really run it hard? its a fabulous kit, a great lookin chassis a wonderful shell and all thats going to happen is that its going to be put on a shelf and run once at Xmas maybe round the living room. Or worse still put in a box. Come on thats no way to celebrate. To make something that no one will see. I will probably never see one of these cars in the flesh and let alone running and for that I feel its a great shame.

So come on Tamiya please can we celebrate properly. By all means have you collectors editions for DJ theo among others to druel over the detail [;)]

But please can we have another version. A cheaper version a more widely availiable version that I can get and race, To drive and enjoy my Tamiya not needing to fear the odd scrape on something I cannot ever hope to replace without re mortgaging.

Some of you may know that I have 2 hks clk shells. Now I brought that knowing it was rare, Not as rare as i know it is now but I still built it and drove it, raced it with my mates and whislt there are scratches on it, I wouldn't have it any other way, for at least that way so people got to see it and enjoy it, Not just look at it.

So please Tamiya, Give us something that we can all celebrate. Not just the 1000 people getting this new shelf model. I realise that I may offend some people with this post but please appreciate that to me this isnt a celebration, Its not a tamiya RC its just a possesion to say you have.

Best Regards Ryck

I am positive at least one member is going to go out and race theirs and enjoy it [H]

Perhaps the real question you have is more about the BODY.  I for one am not interested in the chassis itself. It's trick and bling; but not a one off design.  I like racing my Can Am because it is different. With the new RSR all I am interested in the the body shell.

It's a lovely 30th anniv kit, but for me the tamtech is the real 'waaaaaant it!'  new Tamiya kit because it looks so unusual (at least for now).

And the best bit is.........  the tamtech 934 shell is going to be HOT!  on the Lola chassis.  So you'll be seeing at least one '934' racing soon!!  [:D] [:P] [:P] [au]

Hi all,

I was on my local hobby shops three days ago, I saw a box of this beauty, and to another shop two of them.

They just arrived to the shop and to my surprise, they're ready to be sold, not pre-ordered one.

News was that the shipment arrived that day but gee., no one queue up at the store waiting to purchase it.

Instead, it seems that in my area, people knows about it's arrival, a few have pre-ordered it, but seems the

rest of us just 'ignore' it., so to speak.

I know one of the store pretty well therefore I asked about the wholesale price, also onto the other shop which to them I

am just a casual walk-in customer, they're very willing to open the box and show me the contents. There I also

I asked the (retail) price, and the shops not marking it up and it's infact really selling at a very 'compative' price.

Certainly this is a collectable, but I guess most people like myself  find it a bit expensive and not worth the price.

Or is it ? This question have been in my head for the last two days.

And it will...for years.

That exactly what you will regret 10-20 years after this day.

When you see a chance, take it!

 Just an advice.

Buy it! I received mine today, its stunning. The body is amazing. I'm gonna build when I can get hold of the paint which seems to be in short supply at the minute. Obviously its gonna stay on the shelf, I'll be getting the Tamtech to drive.

I'm gonna get all the hop ups available for the 1/10th RSR but there is only one hop up listed in the manual - 53842 TA05 Stabilizer Set. I'll also get the 53897 Blue Aramid Belts x 2 and 53884 Carbon Battery Strap. I am finding it difficult to work out if there are anymore to get, so if any one knows TA05's better than me I would be greatful of any help.

Anyway, a beautiful kit, so well presented. Thanks Japanscaledriver!![:D]

If there are HMRC charges to pay, you will receive a letter from Parcelforce detailing the charges and their handling fee (£13.50).  The letter will give you details of how to pay - just one payment to Parcelforce.  Your parcel will not be delivered until you have paid them, but once paid it will be delivered next working day.  Customs just charged VAT on mine, but no duty.

Don't understand your complaints as they exactly did that with the TTG 934, a much cheaper and widely available version that everyone can build and drive! Also can there be a better celebration product then the F350? [H] I personally am more excited about the TTG version with its lovely old school box art and realistic 2WD and rear motor then the TA05 934, shame it seems the TTG 934 won't be in time for Xmas... [:(]

I see that the 1/10 Porsche 934 is now listed on Tower Hobbies for $549.00. Aren't they a bit late with that? Does anybody think they acually have a shot at getting any of these in stock? I back-ordered one just in case, but I doubt that they will be able to get any with such a limited amount being released.

Yes you can change your mind. You do not get charged until the item actually ships. You can change your mind up to that point.

Yeah i am not banking on Tower getting any kits in stock. It is supposed to be a very limited run and everywhere seems to be sold out of them already! They are even selling on eBay for like $900! But I figured it worth a shot!

Yes!  Good to see that Tower intends to get these.  As mentioned ealier in this thread, I personally believe there is going to be a later 'North American' release, sometime in the new year.

Tower is very good to back order through - If the price drops before you get yours, they will refund you the difference if requested.  I did this with my High Lift.

Strongly doubt Tamiya would enrisk their reputation, especially as Japanese who care alot about honour, by running another batch of their limited celebration kit, on the other hand wouldn't worry though, as am sure that Tamiya USA has reserved a significant amount (same as propably Tamiya-Europe / Dickie), just due to their relatively high number of orders they get their items via surface, unlike for example the Canadian importer who had them flew in (propably on his own choice and costs), so it will just take a bit longer. As long as there aren't 999 of them listed in TC, I wouldn't worry [:P] LOL

Sounds to me like you're unsure of the numbers.

I think this arbitrary number of 1000 is just that - and is causing mucho hype.  Just like ya said, Theo.[H]

(Besides, how would this be risking Tamiya's reputation? Are they known to be specific with release dates and numbers?)

All of this talk about the limited release, but not one hard confirmed fact about the actual limit.  I guess that is why I always see this statement preceded by the disclaimer "rumored to be" ... [|-)]

How 'bout this:

Can any of the 934 owners do us a favor check to see if these kits are serial numbered? Surely if the 414, limited to a whopping 1700, can be individually engraved, they could grace this kit with the same treatment?
