The SRCMCC Microtech Racing Winter Open Championship is a series of eight meetings that will be held at Braydon Forest School , Purton. Out of the eight meetings your best five results will count towards your final championship position.

Racing will be on our brand new Prima Felt GT carpet with an approximate circuit size of 20m x 12m. At the meetings only BRCA approved odourless additives will be permitted for use at the Race Directors discretion.

We will be running separate heats and rules for the classes advertised, providing we receive a minimum of five competitors per meeting for that class. A full set of rules will be available for each class at the meetings. In general the rules have been based around those or the sports central body the BRCA. It will be the responsibility of the drivers to ensure that their car is within the specified rules for the class entered.

ules

No scratch built cars. Only BRCA approved odourless additives will be permitted.

Stock Touring (27 Turn)

190mm Bodies as per BRCA list for touring cars. Any BRCA approved stock motor e.g. 27T re-buildable non-ballraced stock motor with a maximum of 24 degrees advance. Tyres will be limited to any commercially available rubber slicks or cut slicks (No spiked or foam tyres). Any appropriate wheel and tyre insert will be permitted. Minimum ride height is 5mm. Minimum weight 1,500g.

1/12 Circuit (19 Turn)

Bodies as per BRCA list. Any BRCA approved 19 Turn Spec Motor. Minimum ride height is 3mm. Minimum weight 800g

Tamiya M-Chassis

Only Tamiya or GPM Parts. Motors limited to kit supplied 540's or Tamiya Sport Tuned. Tyres limited to approved Tamiya produced tyres.

Weight Limits

The minimum weight limit specified above for each class include active personal lamp timing equipment (Personal Transponder). If you use a handout transponder you car must be at or above the minimum weight limit without the transponder fitted. (SRCMCC does have the ability to loan out transponders of the Personal Transponder type with a cash deposit).

Other Information

Entry to these events is strictly pre-booking only, and will be limited (approx 60 drivers) to ensure there is time to run the required races. Entry fees are £5 per class per meeting. Entries fees must be in 1 week prior to the meeting. For those who wish to enter multiple meetings in one go, please send in your entry form indicating which classes/meetings you wish to enter along with yours fees for the first meeting. Payment for subsequent meetings should arrive no later than 7 days prior to the meeting dates – If your fee is not received we will assume that you have withdrawn from the championship.

 

Trophies will be awarded at each meeting and other prizes will be awarded at the final round, including a loyalty bonus for all drivers that compete at all meetings.

 

Meetings will be held at Braydon Forest School , The Peak, Purton SN5 4AT. (15 minutes from Swindon – M4 J16 and 15 minutes from the A419).

 

The hall will be open from 8;00 am, please park in the area behind the hall. There will be chairs and a limited number of tables available, so please bring a pit table.

 

Racing will commence at around 9:00 am and will finish at approximately 4:00 pm .

Once you have completed the entry form send it together with your entry fee to the address below. An SAE is not required.
