I want to get a light kit for my Mammoth Dump Truck.

I was thinking about using part #53370 which apparently is a kit for the Jugg Etc,

How would this go with this truck ? or would it be worthwhile getting one of the new units the TLU-01 or whatever its called :) thats comes with the Skyline and Siliva kits ?

Or any other ideas, if they are easy enough, I might do the Super Clod as well I think.

Cheers

Well, depends.  Do you like green lights ?  That is the Monster Truck Light Set by Tamiya which is specifically for the Mammoth & the Juggernaut.  The only thing is the green "fog" lights are a little bit silly.  I have the set installed in my Juggy as I am a big "original Tamiya Hop-Up fan".  You could wait to see if the new F350 MFU could be outfitted (I plan on seeing if it will drop into my Juggernaut).  Or you could purchase the new lights which are LED but they come in pairs & I think the "green" lights for the Mammoth go in the front grill in a set of five.  I think some members here would make you a LED set if you asked, I for one don't know a thing about electrics [;)].  Here they are:

Hi rotor!

I've got the juggernaut light kit fitted to my mammoth dump truck. as said above, its the offiical light set for the truck.

It fits in very nicely, and comes with all the wireing, switches and connectors.

the headlights are bright bulbs, the fog lights are green LED's.

The reason they are green is because white LED's used to be very expensive to produce, and were not easily available when tamiya produced the light kit in tha late 1990's. Green was the nearest colour, but i guess they could have used yellow led's. think of mobile phone backlights - those were all green up untill around 2002. nowdays, white led's are all over the place.

Check my showroom for my juggy and dump truck, i've got the tamiya light set on both. I've also got tamiyas brake light set on my dump truck too.

I have made some LED light kits for tamiya cars, a 6 light kit (4 white and 2 red LEDS), and all wiring/ resistors comes out about 2.50 GBP using ebay components, i use a guy who supplies the leds and resistors for whatever voltage you like, i use a 9volt battery connector and small 9v battery. Adds weight to the car though!. Some ebay sellers also do the light kits with your choice of number/ colour of LEDS for about 6 GBP.

Heres my website with some pics of a Tl-01 with LED kit.
