will be running a couple of vintage buggies next week on the beach (1 x frog brushless :)) and my sons hornet 15 double )  and wondering what tyre to use.

also should i use bearings on the beach or is that not such a good idea?

The super gripper buggy spike tires tear into the sand too much leaving you buried to the chassis.  the pdal traks will float over the sand better.  in addition the sand rover front tires are wider than the smoothies and work better in the sand.

It depends on the sand!  Rad22rad and I have found that super grippers work really well on damp sand of if there is a light coating of soft dry sand over a form packed base.  Paddletracks work well on the soft stuff but to be honest there's not really much in it.  However, there can be no argument that paddlatraks just look right on sand!
