SRB Decals Question

Can someone explain the difference between the SRB decal sheets.   I noticed that there is 4 different sheets for the SRB's. I just got the rough rider today and the kid (Saying this on the fact that it was painted red with a brush) messed up some of the decals.  I try to save some of the ones that are on bare plastic, but the rest (especially the numbers) are on the red paint.

 Here are my questions:

SRB sheets (Where did they come in, the kits or are they something that tamiya came out as a hop up?)

What sheets came with the rough rider or sand scorcher?

 I am just trying to figure out what is happening with this rough rider to make it look really.

There are only 3 sheets A,B,C  You get all the sheets with the sand scorcher kit and with the body kit.  The Ranger only came with it's sheet and I'm not sure if the Rough Rider came with all three sheets  The TC repro decals are very nice http://www.tamiyaclub.com/parts_shop_repro.asp

Actually, Rough Rider come with A and B, Sand Scorcher come with A and C.
