ACOMS servo gears

I have a pile of Acoms AS-12 servos with damaged gears. I want to buy replacement gears so that I can use these servos to drive mechanical speed controls (they can't handle steering duties if you are accident prone!). Any ideas where I can get gears sets? Who manufactures Acoms stuff? What is the relationship to Tamiya? Are these same servos sold under another label or identical in design to another servo? Any info would help.

Acoms make their own gear(s) but some have been rebadged as Kyosho Perfex with white cases as sold with Kyosho ReadySet RTRs. Maybe your local Kyosho distributor might be able to help.
