hi, will a futaba skysport 6 work on a r/c tamiya truck?

Yes, 35mhz is purely for planes and helicopters and should never be used in a car or boat.

In the UK cars and boats are restricted to 27mhz and 40mhz and should never be run on any other frequency. If you are caught using a different frequency as well as a fine the radio equipment (the whole R/C car!) will also be confiscated.

It is possible to get the futaba skysports as 40mhz. These are the remotes I use for my trucks

Likewise that is the system I have in my merc 1850L. Brought with the kit from stella for around $70 dollars, includes 4 servos that are more than up for the job, mount the battery box in one of the side pods and ure away.
