Hi Everyone,

The idea about a TC meet here in the valley of the sun has been thrown around by myself and a few others and the weather is near perfect for a day of tire shredding r/c action.  Other than myself I know of Pete out in Fountain Hills, Lee down in Mesa and a bunch of others that still run thier older Tamiya cars/trucks.  We can meet at Scottsdale R/C Speedway on any Sunday since they have electric and thier track will not tear up your ride and of course you can just go nuts out in their parking lot too.  The Scottsdale air park is good, Northgate over at the SW corner of 19th ave and Bell, the off-road track down in Tempe or the countless parks in the valley would work too.  Post some ideas and thoughts.

This would be great since we have not had a TC meet out here yet and can't let the guys in the UK have all the fun!  If you are going to run bring whatever you have since brand does not matter.  If you have an R/C tank we can do a mock battle.  I met Ethan and his local tank club members at the model show last weekend at Falcon air field.  His site is: http://www.desertarmor.com/   Great bunch of guys!  If you have a Tamiya tank and want to do battle here in town join his club.

Well let me know what you guys think and maybe we can all get together soon.  My user id shows up with my name but my showroom is under: Rcracer.  My normal email address is:  Ottaviano11@cox.net or give me a call at 602-741-9141 Leave a message if I dont answer and I will call back...

Makes me wish I was stationed at Luke AFB.  There are a lot of guys out in East Mesa that race monster trucks that I've seen but good luck with a Tamiya Club meeting. I'd go if I was on leave in Phoenix.

A meet here in Phoenix seems to be pointless.  All I ever hear at the local shops is Traxxas, Losi and Associated.  "How fast can I make it go?".  No appreciate for anything old out here and only an emphasis on whats new.  Its a shame Tamiya is not seen more often in shops out here since there are so many awesome models even in thier latest offerings.  When it warms up I plan in kicking some tale over at SRS with a Tamiya 405 buggy or a Dark Impact I am working on.  I am going to post a seperate posting for a possible TC showing at Tamiyacon in April.

Thanks to minijosh for the post and a HUGE Thanks for serving and protecting our country!  NOBODY MESSES WITH THE U.S!!!
