OK guys,

Jun and I will be back down the beach next weekend. All those that can make it please feel free to come.

I am putting together a bigger meet for the future but in the meantime lets just keep it casual, short and sweat for those that can make it.

10 am in the carpark infront of the two red and white tower stacks for those that haven't been there before. See my showroom for more directions:

Hahahahaah,

Maybe you should have made the post Jun? No problem it will just be the two of us, I want to get some good photos for the comp this month. The Class 5 is a runner and I am ready to jump some dunes!

Gonna try to make it.  Will try to bring cars other than just my Hornet.  Trying mainly for my Frog and WW2.  I have some inbound parts from Richard that should help.  Looks like Saturday will be my rebuild/build day.

It will be good to see you Armand, glad you're coming out for our meets!  [H]

I won't have much to run, only my crawler and my Mini-LST...I hope!  I have to bring a spare runner for a friend who's coming with me.  I might try to get something else up and running but it's gonna be tight.  Maybe my WW2, seemed like those did real well out there last time.

On the other hand, I will bring some more cars for show this time! [8-|]

The new phonebooks here, the new phonebooks here...I'm somebody special!

Rich's trade package came in today.  Will try my darndest to put them to use this Sunday.  Made my day for sure.  Been feeling kinda crappy all week from school, and this was definitely very welcome.

Hope to see more people this Sunday.

I'd like to join for the next meet. Unfortunately I just found this post today and already have plans for Sunday [:'(]. When is the next meet planned for?

Alright...if all goes well between now and sunday, I'll have my Hi-Lift, crawler, Hornet and Mini-LST to run.  And I am staying far, far away from the water!

See you guys sunday...if anyone needs to reach me 310-951-7454 mobile.

That should look sweet.

Jim - ya missed a good time- though the 5 hour drive would have been quite an investment! LOL! :)

Here are some pics....

Great photos Alex,

What a great day, more fun than I have had in a long time with RC's. Alex thank you for sharing your photos and letting us use them if we need them. I am currently stuck with a dilema. I have three "maybes" now for the comp - a pretty good problem to have.

Big shout out to Ryu for doing such a great job driving my Class 5 baja bug today and managing to jump it repeatedly for 30 minutes without a breaking it.

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone elses photos now.

After seeing Jun's hornet run so well all day I will be bringing my for the next meet.

Thanks again guys for all who came.

Wow! looks like you guys had a great time today. Great photos of those cars jumping.  I am envious but I spent most of the weekend tracking down parts and tires for my 1:1 car.

We missed you Jim,

It would have been great to see both alex and your King Haulers together. Alex has got his looking sweeeeet, so sweat I was too scared to drive it!

We will see you at the next one.

Whew, it was a warm one today.  Good thing we were down by the beach, cause I heard it was in the 90's in the valley.  Good turn out today, good seeing all again, James, Jun, Alex and Ryu and Jun's friend, (sorry forgot your name).

Seeing James' SS in action makes me want one.

Alex's King Hauler was very cool.   Didn't know about the shaker option, and it looked and sounded cool.  The pix looked awesome by the way.  My fave is the second pic of James SS.

Had a blast.  Thanks again everyone.  Lets do it again soon.

Hey Armand, Remember, let em know if you need help with that WW2. James.

Thanks for the offer James, I think I figured it out.  The rear rims were not stock!!  They were  2.2 inchers with the stock WW2 tire stretched over it. Stretched over the bigger rim, the tire bulged out the sides.  Mocked up my Stadium Blitzer wheel set with HPI Geolanders, and it looks much better.  Hmmm, the front track is wider than the rear track on the WW2 chassis?  Why did Tamiya do that?  The rear wheels still touch the rear body mount mounts when the suspensions fully compressed though.  Will have to do something about that.  Definitely have to do something about those friction suspenders also.  Will keep you updated.

 Thanks for the offer.

Today was awesome, you just can't beat the weather we have right now, despite being the end of November!

I broke 3 servos today- the servo in my Mini-LST (which ran great until I broke it, my fault for not having servo savers) my Hornet (ripped the cord out when it flew off my tailgate) and my crawler (broke one servo mount).  Oh and I lost an ESC when Yohei was watching the wheel roll off my LST instead of watching my Hornet (which he was driving) take a swim into the Pacific.

But who cares, it was such a great time.  And the Hornet ran great!  I'll bulletproof the servo and install a hotter motor for next time.  I think it will be perfect.  I also loved the MLST before it broke- a few more tweaks and it will be one heck of a little buggy.

I don't know about you guys but I want to get another session or  two (or five for that matter) before the year closes.  [H]

Armand and I were talking Grasshoppers and Hornets. I think I'll buy one of the re-res and take it out there next time to thrash and trash. Unlike Yohei who was deeply sorry for the Hornet mishap, I'll personally have no issues driving the Hornet or Grasshopper into the ocean at the end of the day! That oughta make for a good picture - watching the Hornet being taken away by the tide! I kow if I took it home I most likely wouldn't waste my time cleaning it... (can you tell how much I love re-res!) LOL! [:)]

Those re-re's sure are disposable aren't they Alex?  Tell ya what, if you do go driving your re-re into the water only to walk away from it, I'll be the first to dive in to snatch it up to build a runner for the next meet!  [;)]

Hmmm... that'd actually be a cool contest. The rules would be simple. I drive the re-re into the ocean.... we let it get at least 15-20 feet out... then the first one that dives into the ocean and retrieves it gets themselves a new model! ;)  Possibilities..... LOL!
