Add this post to the list of newbie nitro questions I've been asking

for the past few weeks. When I roll my nitro stadium truck's wheels

across the floor,  the tranny spins and so does the clutch bell,

but the engine does not turn over. Is this normal, and if not, what's

wrong?

Perfectly normal. Until the engine spins fast enough for the engine to

engage the clutch only the flywheel is actually connected to the

engine. If the engine was permanently connected like in electric cars

the engine would not be able to idle.

Yep, perfectly normal.

The engine uses a CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH, there is a pilot nut screwed onto the crankshaft, and there are Nylon ( i think? ) or aluminium clutch shoes, held to the pilot shaft by clutch springs, as the crankshaft spins, the centrifugal force pulls the clutch shoes away from the centre and they touch the clutch bell, and engage the transmission.
