akihabaramallrat 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Released with changes as per the frog. Probably as with the rerelease body there will be no metal core in the roll bar
DJTheo 2 Posted November 14, 2006 Excellent news as its a lovely car and it would mean re-releases are not over! [H] Also will make tires and wheels obtainable! [Y] Do you know if it will come with RS-380 and rear friction shocks? Cheers
dunebuggy71 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Fantastic news ! Mr. Tamiya don´t stop making me happy. []
RichieRich 660 Posted November 14, 2006 Yeah, I wonder if it will come with the posi-traction "diff" like the original.
mobias 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Great news but there's got to be a Monster Beetle coming next year to surely (and a HotShot, SuperShot, Bigwig, Avante..enter your fav ever Tamiya here)
Thunderbug 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Wow.[H] If this is true it will fulfill a Tamiya dream for me as this was the first Tamiya car I ever wanted. 2 will be bought if so. If not I won't be disappointed as the re-release Hornet satisfied my lost youth.
Stefan(2) 89 Posted November 15, 2006 ow men, that is nice, thanks for the info/scoop ! (nice to have member close to the tamiya - home - ground )
akemag 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Thats SO nice! The Brat was my first real r/c, and my first Tamiya. I´ve been hoping ever since the release of the Hi-Lift to buy one, but the price with a new radio and all is a bit to steep for me now. My little babygirl has to come first, and theres alot of stuff to buy. But a Brat shouldnt be pricy at all! Now this really made me happy!
Bigwheels_inc 11 Posted November 15, 2006 If its true then we can exspect a mudblaster re-release some time soon after along with the monster beetle or mor likely with fords recent trend towards fords a blackfoot has any bodt got proof of the pending brat re-re sorry if i sound like im sceptical but with the recent forum with someone making a stupid joke about an SRB re-re i would like to see something from tamiya on there sight first Pete
mikea96 0 Posted November 15, 2006 This is awesome i love the brat. Just picked one up last weekend for $25 but now i will get to build a new one again.
technical.burP 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Oh, now it's time to flood the market with all those Sandblaster tyres before they loose their high value. ;-)
acorn 0 Posted November 15, 2006 So if they are releasing old Frog chassis models, can we hope for the Lancia too?
Wandy 1526 Posted November 15, 2006 Fantastic!! So this surely means that the article published in that Japanese magazine, claiming "no more re-releases" was well wide of the mark? Come on Mr Tamiya, give us a Boomerang next.
Z 0 Posted November 15, 2006 This is great, but I'm just curious how you got this information? It's kind of hard just to take somebody's word on a rerelease with all the false alarms we've had.

rroodd 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Well we all know if the subject heading says "No Joke", then it must be true ......... []
Dephcon5 2 Posted November 15, 2006 Is there a pic or a link or any thing formal from Tamiya about this re re Brat?
akihabaramallrat 0 Posted November 15, 2006 I know a couple of club members are going to the Tamiya GP this weekend so even if its not ready for display there any Tamiya employees will be able to confirm it.
TWINSET 1793 Posted November 15, 2006 Oh, now it's time to flood the market with all those Sandblaster tyres before they loose their high value. ;-) Stella have been selling them for ages chap http://www.stellamodels.net/catalog/default.php?cPath=156 Cool news on the Brat though, loads 4WD looking SRBs on the way []

Mad Ax 9149 Posted November 15, 2006 Wow! I said months back that if the Brat was re-re'd, I'd buy one. Looks like it's time to put my money where my mouth is!! My first NIB Tamiya was the Mud Blaster, but I soon converted it with smaller wheels as it rolled over far too easy. The Brat was blatantly the car I should have got, although it wasn't available (or at least not in my LHS) when I wandered in with my pocket money. Depending on how many funds are available I might even buy two - one to keep standard (plus bearings) and one to modify with hot motor, oil shocks, various other bits & pieces... Acto-Tuned 6 Posted November 15, 2006 Well this was a pleasant surprise. I thought the whole re-release thing was over. A re-re Brat would make an excellent runner and like Theo pointed out getting hold of rims for F-150 Ranger projects should be quite simple after March. billg4 25 Posted November 16, 2006 would be fun if it does go through. I had one, and a mudblaster back in the 80's
