If you want a used one usually for 30$-40$ a Tekin rebel will do or a tekin titan. Tekin is out of production so if it fries (believe me man i have been using my rebel forever with all different turns of motors and it doesnt even get hot, I also used to own a tekin titan but traded it , that too was a solid performer) you cant get it repaired.

If you want to buy a new esc get the Super Rooster or the EVX. Nothing beats the super rooster.

Get a LRP F1 Pro Reverse Digital,it is cheaper than the Super Rooster,I am using one on my TXT with a pair of Reedy 14x2's wired in paralell.

I used a Super Rooster and it fried before it was even used in anger,I just connected it all up to set and it and the thing just poured smoke!

I have since used LRP ESC's in all my cars and have had no problems with any of them.

Well I am in the UK and the LRP cost me £80 & P&P,the Super Rooster is over £100.

I tried to cheat and got the SR from Tower originally but went it went wrong it proved very difficult to get it fixed easily so I just binned it and got the LRP (expensive mistake),I would say it pays to think twice with getting electronic stuff from outside of the UK just in case.

I got the LRP from Modelsport UK.

ok thanks but on the 540stocks the wire terminals are inside the can and the wires just come out of the can and straight into conectors! What did you do?

I saw that not too long ago. I am glad to see them back. Hopefully they can compete.

As far as the ESC goes -

£100 seem pricey for a super rooster. I usually grab them from 80$-100$ for a descent used one. I have a few extras right now if you need one at a good price that badly. Unlike smallman ive never had a problem with them, ive attended NR/CTPA clod races and havent heard a bad word about the rooster in any application.

random question - Are the LRPs waterproof?
