I've been wanting to put a slightly shorter body on my Jeep Wrangler, and it requires that I shorten the wheelbase a bit. I replaced the ugly 4-link setup that was always catching on things with adjustable rods and added shock mounts on top of the axles (bolted through the casing). I replaced the long rod ends on the shocks with shorter ones and moved their mount position to the rear set. I should still be able to use the stock driveshaft. However, with everything in place the wheelbase is still a bit too long.

First question: How can I simply shorten the wheelbase a centimeter or two? The 4-link rods won't tighten that far. I suppose I could cut the threaded portions a bit but that's a last resort, it'd screw up a lot of stuff.

Second question: As it is the rear is too high (or the front's too low). Even with the front shocks disconnected the suspension won't drop at all. I can't see anything that's stopping it, could it be one of the links?
