Need help to anodize or plate aluminum

I have acquired a rare hop-up part that I was hoping to get anodized or plated with a gold finish (mirror finish type, not dull finish). Are there any members that can help me to plate the aluminum? Thanks.

Nothing you want to try to do yourself...Check the yellow pages for Anodizes and Electroplaters in your area...If you want a mirror finish it will have to be polished to a mirror finish first and electroplating will be your best bet...Bright nickel will cover some scratches but for the most part plating will only re-produce the starting mico-finish...jerry
