Really the perfect choice would be a sand scorcher but there so expensive to buy, so i need a car thats fun to drive, has good ground clearance and that the motor is placed where i can prevent sand getting in to it as i have kiiled a couple of motors in the past. so unless someone is selling a cheapish sand scorcher in running condition, i would love to hear what u think. also is there a foam filter for 540 size motors.

Blitzer Beetle / Stadium Blitzer / Stadium Thunder chassis gets my vote. Motor is out the back and gets no sand from rear tyres and none from front. They are SUCH fun on hard packed sand and soft sand. Really teach you car control as well.

On hard sand I'd recommend Schumacher Vee 4 tyres (in fact they are 1000% improvement on any surface over the standard ones and last forever). For soft dry sand go for the proline sand paws. Just check out any of Technical Burp's vids to see what I mean.

They are even easy to clean - just take out the ESC and Receiver (which you attach with double sided velcro) and hose it down with fresh water outside. Let it dry and then use a 1/2 inch paint brush to brush whats left off.
