Hi all

Just bought a re-re Hornet off ebay as an Xmas prezzie to myself. Just got one little question, is there enough room between the motor and the rear shock to install a heatsink on the motor? If my 20 year old memory serves me correctly there isn't much room between the two and I like using heatsinks where I can. Anyone got a Hornet handy that could tell me?

Cheers

The original Grasshopper & Hornet chassis don't leave any room for a heatsink. The GrassHopper 2 and Super Hornet uses a different chassis, so it could fit a heatsink, but even then, it's a little tight.

Hope this helps.

I had a 27T Orion motor in mine, and I never used much more than half throttle, the car doesn't seem to respond to high RPM motors too well, due to the lack of independent rear suspension. The rear end was always jumping and not getting the power down. Try it, but i'd probably suggest a Sport Tuned at most for it.
