I have moved into the big citty and found out that I have a hobby shopp and Tamiya dealer 50 meters from my houses enterance! I have bean in there and said hello, they had all the rere's in store, so I said that I was looking forward to the Bratt and that I would like to buy a can of Tamiya Primer and a tube of Tamiya putty, witch he also had in store, witch is really amazing for a Norwegian hobby shopp! When I went out of the store, my left eye caught a glimpse of a box in the window, pictured somthing I never have sean before. It looked like a normal RTR 2wd stadium truck, but I had never sean it before so I stopped and read the text. Sportswerk Raven ST I think it was called. It came RTR with a 19 turn motor and a 1600 mah battery, witch kind of links it a couple of years back. What was truly interesting is that it comes with a 3 speed gear box! And that I never have heard about the company also makes me curiouse? Sounds German witch means it could be quite good. I have offcourse done the two natural detective acts. No matches for Sportswerks on Ebay, and I could not find anny official sites when searcing for it on Google? And offcourse I also searched the best RC car forum in the world[:D]

Thanks for your help!

Cheers

Try here http://www.sportwerksrc.com/ Notice the spelling.

Sportwerks are really big in 1/8th scale off road, their Sportwerks Turmoil is one of the most popular rallycross cars around and David Spashett (current 1/12th world champ) races one.

Actually the Raven is just another stadium truck. It doesn't have a 3 speed gearbox, it has a 3 gear transmission just like every other stadium truck and 2wd buggy.

Old thread I managed to drag up out of the vault .

So Terry or anyone for that matter would you say Sportwerks are any good ?? as a runner compared to other brands ?.

Do they have a shortfall in design or performance ?

Thanks in advance .

Stu,

Think Sportswerk are no more; this was a message on their home page:

"Sportwerks is discontinuing its product line. We will continue to support the brand with parts and service through 2010. This excludes the Chaos and Reaction as quantities of available parts are limited for these vehicles."

How on earth did you come across a post from 2006, too much spare time, have you been reading every single old forum thread ;)

Hope you are well mate,

Nige

Been much to busy of late to troll through dead posts been working on the Tamiya workshop installed the fireplace today lit a fire tonight in the shed and watced it burn its the simple things in life couldnt keep my pyro maniac wife out though she came in said thats not a fire and settled in on a milk crate to make it into a huge blaze that lit up a grid square ;) .

Tomorrow the work benches start to get built .

Thanks again mate

Don't think I would be brave enough to install a fire where I keep all my cars, though maybe thats just a reflection on my poor DIY skills. Hope you share some photos when its all finished?

Sportwerks were/are excellent bits of kit, they were an own brand for Horizon Hobby's, since they now own Losi i guess they dont need to use the Sportwerks label anymore so have shelved it, which is a shame.

On the flip side they are killing losi as a 1/10 buggy force
