Tamiya knight hauler price advice

I'm new to here so be gentle

What would be a fair price for a 2nd knight hauler with radio and trailer?

I know to buy all the bits would cost about £700 but whats a fair 2nd hand price?

Oef, fully depends on the options, how the state is

"new" , "used" , "smashed" , nice paintjob or even a custom airbrush job?

or is the paint just smashed on top and driven the badword out of it.

(yes, you have those brute's)

does it have servo's, light kit, or MFU set installed..

Nice alloy wheels under it?

Those options above can drive up the price, as i think a seller would love to have a bit of

his spend cash back.

a new in box knight hauler will set you back for about 300 euro's, including shipping from stellamodels.

to get it running, spend 20 euro's on bearings and maybe 75 on a decent 4 channel tx/rx set with servo's

Then you need a esc, no powermonster is needed, but do pick one up with break & reverse.

go insane, say.. 500 euro's for "everything" , then you have a new build.

Usually 2e hand one's don't go away much cheaper, especially the local bought rigs.

Do be warned, once started with rig building, there is no way back

The One I'm looking at has the MFU and full 4ch radio the owner hasn't painted it or put the decals on so its almost as new

That is a hard one then, also depending the kind of TX used

(expencive model, or a cheapo skyport)

Personally, i doubt the owner let it go cheap (i would not ), so for that (50?) or something euro less,

you might want to have the joy of putting it all together yourself.

Ain't no TT01 you slap together withing 1 hour "RTR"

Do keep in mind, BEFORE running a 2e hand rig, check gearbox and diff first for construction errors.

So, pull it all out & disasable & check manual close.

Bought quite a lot of rigs 2e hand for projects, and many had flaws in the build,  resulting damage.

There many ways to destroy a rig drivetrain, belief me on that one!

have The Aeromax but just as a static display for now & I have got myself

the tank trailer for Xmas  

 

The knight hauler I'm looking at

is complete with the MFU and has a futaba 4ex radio and the container trailer so

all in its just about everything in one easy bundle the only real down side is

someone else has already had the fun of building it :-(

As you

say if I do get it I would need to strip it 1st to check all is well

And the

bloke is looking for £450 so I think I could get it play with it and sell it in

12 mths and still not lose anything
