SATURDAY EVENING INDOOR MEETING ! WEST YORKSHIRE ! RETRO RACING

Is anyone interested in racing indoor (FUN ONLY) i may/can arrange to get a couple of races put on the end of the racing at a local club to myself  , but i need to know numbers and what type of racing !

for example

tamtech frog , hornet ,  fox , desert gator , wild boar

 

lunchbox , pumpkin and wild willy racing

 

off road vintage(rere)  brat , frog , hornet , grasshopper ect

 

theres a timing computer its about £4(will check this)  to race for the evening and there is tea and coffee and sweets on sale it starts about 4.30/5.00 but lets face it thats not set in stone as its for fun and basically only need about 5(upwards) people to make a heat !

Im interested, as long as its not in the next week or so, as moving home! (although may have to go anyway!)

I'd be in for Wild Willy, and various 2wd/4wd vintage (Brat, Vanquish, Hornet, Rocky Desert Gator(1/10th)...and the list keeps going...)

These are the dates for the next meetings i have no say in these and i have nothing to do with running the club !

so im sorry if you cant make it ! (for the 11 who have just emailed )

 

next meet is 16th dec which is when i'll go and arrange things !

and then from the new year !

ill try to get there for next week (16th) with my twin det oh and also would anyone care for directions / map because my dad knows sherburn quite well and will be able to get me there []

also you say after the club races... whens that? when will there fun races start?

I had better point out that the club does'nt have a big enough track to take the newer faster cars its more of your 80's/90's style anyone who went to the original batley buggy club will know what i mean !

 thats why im having to go with the cars ive listed !

hi all, this will be the V12 club then? frequented by mr stephenson and mr chapman??

the guys have been trying to pursuade me to buy a v12 and have a go, but the idea of vintage apeals much more, m chassis and 959's should be ok right? oh and if we run buggys we should be prepared to get our butts whipped by a rather rapid period kyosho ultima owned by a certain mr stephenson, who used to run an indoor club in scunthorpe 12 years ago.

i'm well up for it, i get most weekends off work due to a new job, and the mother-in-law lives 5 min away,result!

hi all, the point seems to be that its a RETRO / VINTAGE meeting, and poss M chassis (very small cars), as Andys said, newer faster larger cars (sounds like a south park movie!) will not be suitable for what i think is a Mardave V12 circuit (12th scale cars). I'm looking forward to some 80's racing on a 'pocket money budget' just like back in the day! think you ought to make us run 1200's and clockwork timed chargers! might raid my parts bin and see if i can build a frog type hybrid from bits, or just use my monster beetle.
