Noob needs help!

I have a soldering gun! [] Much easyer! It takes 35seconds from when you pull the trigger to heat upto soldering temp! and only cost me a masive £12 Included is flux, loads of solder and three extra nibs!

The reciever has BEC according to the label.

hmmm I'm beginning to think the esc itself is faulty. I soldered the capicitors on and the same thing happened. The motor works fine with the tamiya esc however. Im 99% certain the esc is getting the correct signal from the reciever because the lights are lighting green when I push forward, red for reverse and both when in nuetral which is what they are supposed to be. The manual/pamphlet says that when the motor kicks off before you can even set it up the unit could be faulty.
