What cars do you all drive?

Recommended Posts

My current car is the only Pink Granada in the entire UK:

http://www.pinkgranada.co.uk/

It

was painted by its previous owner for Run To The Sun, which (for you

non-Brits) is a big car festival that takes place every year in the

seaside town of Newquay.  I got it several months ago for £250

(that's about $450 - and I haven't even paid for it yet) and have had a

lot of attention since then.

1994 Ford Granada Scorpio - 2.9

litre V6 auto, leather, electric, cruise, climate, etc... however

rising fuel costs and increasing mileage mean that I'll soon be storing

it up until Run To The Sun 2007, and will be back to driving my 1996

Citroen Xantia 1.9TDi Estate - my 165,000 mile auction banger.

HOWEVER - day to day I don't drive, I ride....

This

is Project Grond - my 1986 GSXR 750 "Mad Max" inspired wolfbike.

Will be installing a GSXR 1100 motor later this year, for

wheelie-popping mayhem [:D]

Yes - the bike does get ridden every day of the year, come rain, shine, sleet or snow...

Mad Ax, Been to two of the Run to the Sun's fella! 1998 and 2000! It is a VW Meet ( well, it WAS, LOL! )

Bike looks very cool!

Now then, since i've posted here, the odd few times i get to drive ( carparks, private land or whatever since i'm only 16 ) I drive my mums BMW 316Ti Compact SE, REALLY nice car to drive, looking at getting the M-Tec kit and some angel eyes, and possibly some CSL Replica ( the real ones are magnesium alloy and cost a bomb [:D] ) wheels later on in the year, i'll be sure to take pics!

 Here is my beloved Barchetta.

It's a Tamiya Very large scale kit [:D]

Does it come with a huge box wrench for getting the wheels off?

WOW...They're big snowballs !!!  Only Kidding.

I used to work for Aquada - The amphibious car - and always thought the Barchetta looked like one of them, well the Aquada looked like a Barchetta actually as I supose they we're around first. Quite a rare car really, you didn't see many of them when they we're new let alone now.[Y]

neat rides you all have here...

ATM I'm driving a bone stock 2005 suzuki escudo, rwd with 1.6l 4 to get around..

It's not much a speedmaker (only good for 150kph), as it got a really bad power to weight ratio, but at least it's practical when it floods (and it floods often in indonesia).. where it shines is in the handling (for its' kind), thanks to the rather firm suspension (again, for its' kind).

(don't get fixated on the inside if there's a good line on the outside that you and the car can take).

Aih, what am I gonna get once I'm in Melbourne.... for sure the 'zuki' has taught me how far I can push a tall CG design. And RWD still rules.

Yeah! Same engine as the Lotus Exige[6] 8500RPM all day long! It really needs a supercharger though like the Lotus but I could buy quite a few NIB three-speeders for the price, i know what i'd prefer!!! [:D]

Thought you all might get a kick out of this.  Back in 1999, we bought a Buick Century for our "family" car (cheap on insurance and enough room to get a baby carrier in & out of the back seat) and my wife drove it until last summer.

THEN I won a local radio station's "Pimp My Ride"-type contest and this is what they did:

Yes-- 18" Falken tires on a Buick!  Dual monitors with all Alpine components w/ sub in the trunk.  Hard to tell in the pics (low res), but the paint is metallic pearl and all that detail on the sides is actually airbrushed.  All my kids' friends want to ride in it!!

Thanks Floyd-  Now that I solved my photo hosting issue, here's a couple more!  All the side moulding and the Buick letters impressed in rear bumper were shaved-- they did a nice job on the body work/paint.
