What cars do you all drive?

Recommended Posts

i had a zx that i ran on used vegitable oil. i never had any problems with it and it actually ran better on oil than diesel. i never mixed any diesel in, it was 100% chip oil and it always started first turn ;) . p.s. nice car :) i love the 80s cars.

Well that was short lived! :(

My father-in-law was sure that it would pass the MOT and it failed on the front subframe as it had a massive crack in it! (To be fair he didnt look at it on the ramp which he wishes he had done!)

So the Citroen has gone before it even started!

Anyhoo onto the next thing - a 1997 BMW 316i Compact - clean, tidy, one owner from new, years MOT and 3 months tax, 138k - 800 :(

Should pick it up in the New Year

Blimey Skip, you're getting through 1:1's faster than I'm buying RC's :(

I know - not by choice though :D

Still, the Beemers much nicer! :(

TT is here until Friday - I was only meant to borrow it as a stopgap but have put 1000 miles on it! :(

It will be missed but at least this beast still has a turbo but will do more than 28mpg!! :(

It will be there for the next Eastern Bash - loads of room for RCs in it! :D

Hahah Reminds me of the time me and my dad test drove a brand new ford transit when we bought some furniture off ebay and had to pick it up. We left with 1 mile on the clock and returned with over 480. Man that was some test drive.......

Ohh milage is abit high but its looks like a one owner car. Has it got full service history? Im guessing with it being a one owner car its probably had loads of work done with no expense spared, that the usual story anyway. Funny how the one owner cars are usualy high mileage. My uncle bought a mint impretza p1 1 owner from new and absolutly mint, not one of the wheels has even the slightest mark and the paintwork is unbelivable. However it has about 100k on the clock......

Lets just say people like to drive...ALOT.

Nope -not planning on crashing but I am worried about being hit.

Living in Las Vegas and visiting Southern California a few times, You better be worried because people drive like Maniacs here. If you don't live here, you have no idea- us Americans are IDIOTS!!! When you drive your life is at serious risk all the time :( ... I'll take the Turbo Solstice over the softer Miata..

Yup full supplying main dealer service history and it runs really sweet - steering wheel and gearknob are worn but they can be replaced - the rest of the car in no way shows the mileage - will do just right for me :(

My daily driver is a Pug '99 306 Hdi Dturbo.

My toy is a 2000 306 GTI-6.

The Dturbo is de-catted(no need for one on a diesel),EGR removed and pipes blanked off.Still does 48-50 mpg but the pick up is miles better.

The GTI-6 has a Magnex pipe and a Piper X filter, man that thing shifts.

They both handle superbly, both have Morette headlight conversions,Pug Cyclone 5 spoke alloys and they're both Icelandic Grey(like Moonstone Blue)so that folks don't know what they've been blown off by :D:lol: .

I used to have a'79 RS2thou Mk2 with a Group 1 engine in it('bout 160 gee-gees),that was good fun.

My mate has a '73 facelift Capri with a 4.2ltr V8(320 bhp) out of a wrecked TVR Cerbera in it and a 1968 big wing Mk1 Escort with a 140bhp Pinto in it.

Another mate(lives on Anglesey)has a big turbo EssieCossie with 625bhp at the fly.Now that is a "flies on teeth"motor :D:D

Freelander 2 XS TD4, wife has a TT coupe 225 Quattro. Would love to get a TVR T350c some day! The noise alone is worth it.

If you want noise, get a V8 TVR. The Speed Sixes were good, but nothing beats the bellow from the V8.

Picked up the BMW on Tuesday - its great - purrs like a kitten and is so smooth and quiet to drive. There are a couple of very small niggles with it but nothing that stops me from using it - all in all it was ?800 very well spent I think!! Found a used car bill of sale from 2001 where someone paid 10,500 for it :o

Oh and its "only" done 134k too :)

Against my wishes, during the divorce proceedings my ex wife took my G35 that was shown on post #4 of this thread. She left out in the cold with the the Leuxs in post #44. I had to end up selling it at a $6000 loss because I can't afford the House mortgage and that car and insurance payment. So now I have a BMW 540i with a six speed. I love it way more than I ever did my old G35. The BMW is the car I wanted before the G35 but exwifey always said no to BMW's Now that she is gone, the shodog says yes.

It has been modified with a bunch of goodies. Full Dinan suspension, stage 1 engine management software and a cold air instake. The Brakes have been upgraded to bigger rotors and the rims are 18" style 32's instead of the normal 17"s
