Thanks. It’s a fun car. The noise is infectious!

Always fancied an ST170. Couldn’t insure one st the time unfortunately. Had the option of a minter a couple of years back, but couldn’t justify both even if I had the space. Still wish I’d found a way.

I had one, bought a 2-year-old one and kept it for 7 years.  Had a few problems with the variable-intake gubbins but nothing that really kept it off the road.  I kinda miss it but I swapped it for a VW van which makes certain aspects of my life much easier.  I want a Transit Custom Sport next though which would be the best of both worlds.

Looks tidy. Same colour as what I had the chance to buy. Only issue with that one was non standard wheels. Was running some expensive OZ wheels instead mind.

I’d snap a MK1 Focus RS up tomorrow if the bank balance allowed it. Love that shape. One near me being slowly destroyed by it owner. Sad.

Well my main form of transport is two wheels, but when I'm allowed to drive this is our bus. Very handy on long distance with 3 noisy toe rags!

This I used to drive 20 days ago.

Not to be mentioned, I sorted everything out, from a double disc sistem, to new tires, fork oil, Polini Vario, polini 3g cluth, polini sport bell... now its gone.. it is not visible on the pictures but even the rear is bend, probably motor mount and shocks.

Not the first not the last... next will probably be a Vespa GTS300ie.

Thought I'd bump this one up as a newbie with a few 1:1 projects.  My current fleet:

1966 Mustang.  Owned since 1998 and currently undergoing a very slow transformation into a trans-am racer tribute (it's been off the road for 10 years since detonating the the last engine..).  Stroker race engine being put together as we speak, and will be running FiTech fuel injection but all hidden as everything must be in keeping with the sixties racer theme.  Same with the five speed manual box conversion.  Also got aluminium caliper disc brake conversion, locking diff, etc waiting to go in..

26610709128_1fe935372e_h.jpg

Next is my 1962 Chevy C20 Fleetside.  It's an original California black plate truck, now sitting on a 77 Blazer chassis so benefits from better suspension, 350/350 V8 auto, power vented disc brakes, power steering, etc.  Imported by me 10 years ago, I'm just refreshing the engine before it heads off for some fabrication work in the new year, including a healthy drop!

29762990297_a39f25668c_h.jpg

I bought my 1987 205 GTI four years ago now, and luckily just before the prices went nutty.  It was a track car bought from a friend, but given its relative rarity (it's one of the earliest known 1.9s in the country) I refreshed it back to a more original looking exterior and a 'sympathetically' stripped interior.  Various engine mods including a worked head and twin 45 Webers pushes the power up to 166bhp, and loads of other mods including shorter final drive for sprinting, full suspension upgrades, electric power steering from a Saxo with Xsara quick rack, etc, etc, etc.  I use it mostly for fun road use and compete in autosolos too - came second in class this year which I was chuffed with.

36217169444_2baee60c57_b.jpg

And finally, my latest purchase which is in a box over the Atlantic somewhere!  A 1974 Ford Econoline E100 V8 shorty with automatic transmission and power brakes, so quite a rare combo.  Despite appearances it's absolutely rock solid and has had only two owners and shows <30k miles.  Hopefully something I'll be able to jump in and drive whilst I finish the others!  Due from LA into Felixstowe at Christmas - can't wait !!

2007 Honda CR-V Executive 2.2 TDCI.

I would never have bought an SUV, given that we live in London, but my girlfriend is from rural upstate New York and wanted to get an SUV when we had a kid, because 4WD and more space. Fair enough. I had a look round and saw the CR-V and thought it looked like the best bet for the money we had. We bought a silver 2005 plate diesel and after we'd put a bit of cash into it to recommission it (it had been standing out in the open on the lot for a long time and was a bit sorry for itself) it ran like a train and was easily the best car I had ever owned. It is built like a tank, vast inside, comfortable, reasonably economical and the turbo diesel has so much grunt it'd drive up the side of house if you asked it to. I loved it, but then someone drove into the back of it while we were waiting at a pedestrian crossing and wrote it off. With the insurance money we managed to find a part-exchanged 2007 plater with less miles, but a few holes in the service record. It drives fine, has heated leather seats and after it gets a good service I have no doubt it'll be just as good as its sadly-departed predecessor.

The only thing which I don't rate about it is the fact that it has the turning circle of an ocean liner. Car parks are not its friend. Do not buy a phase II CR-V if you have a tight driveway. You'll get it in, but you'll have to level your garden to get it out again. Other than that it's a brilliant car.

Loving the Chevrolet script on the V8, @barneys66.

Thanks to you too!  It's an eighties factory replacement engine but dressed to look like a sixties motor - they're original stamped 'script' rocker covers, designed to be used on an older engine with an oil fill pipe on the inlet manifold, which mine doesn't have, so I had to modify them for a pcv system and also have to removed one cover to dribble oil in .

Worth it for the look though.  The above pic was me trying to decide between white and black, using the cutouts from the stencils I bought when I've eventually made up my mind..!

Love the C20 and the Econoline @barneys66 !

I bought a little GD1 Honda Fit recently as I have moved 20k's out of the city and the little fit can get to work and back on the same amount of gas it takes to start the Silverado!

Hoping of sell off my wagon soon, getting to old for it and cant fit the kids in the back with it only having two seats. Had it 16 years anyway.

Yeah static 4/6. Want to go 5/7 though. Still has the L05 but plans are to LS swap it in the new year. The wagon is much like your pug. No interior, forged motor, manual rack, 3300lb clutch, no a/c abs or other other creature comforts etc.
