Nice Jeep you have there werewolf B)

My daily is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee & I also have a Ford Sierra XR4i fitted with 4x4 transmission.

Thanks! Mine isn't as clean as the one in the picture, though

That Sierra sounds cool! Got any pictures?

By the way, we also have one of these with 4WD. Surprisingly fun to drive, actually.

Built it about 4 ~ 5 years ago from a bare shell.

Nice!

Can't be too many of those kicking about now.

Got to love the sound out of the V6.

Yeah we're gonna need some more info on this :)

To cut a very long and boring story short...

The interior & exterior trim is all from the XR4i I bought back in the early 90's which I used as my daily till 2001 when extensive tin worm turned it into a driveway ornament.

The mechanics all came from a Mk1 XR4x4 donor which I got for a good price, the hubs are from a Granada 4x4 - did you spot the 5-stud wheels ?

Everything was fitted into a brand new shell which I managed to track down - it was some guys unfinished project still in factory primer.

Full stainless braided brake & fuel lines & stainless exhaust system which I picked up for the bargain price of £30.

Otherwise standard spec - V6 sounds great through that exhaust B)

As mentioned, not many around now - been a while since I saw another on the road, a few turn up on ebay now and then - I was told only around 10,000 to 12,000 were made for the European market.

Splendid stuff.

Subtly done,as subtle as XR4i's can be!!

Wheels look stock, never would have noticed the 5 stud.

Those V6's (2.9 in 4x4?) took some abuse, made good torque and responded well to tuning (ie turbos!)

Wheels are 15" Ford 7-spokes from a Granada 4x4 & run 205/50x15 tyres, originally would have had the 14" pepperpot alloys & 195/60x14 tyres.

Engine is the 2.8 Cologne V6 with Bosch K-jet injection system - nice simple system - I actually prefer it to the 2.9 - no cat or EFI to worry about.

Stunning I love old school Fords, a friend has an amazing collection of RS'S

See the previous post Kevin.

They also match the later 4x4 and the mk1 RS turbo.

Cheers, i completely missed that. I haven't ever seen a Granada with those wheels - only the slightly dished 5 spokes similar to the AMG merc wheels

Car for nice (this was my Dad's old car);

My track car, doesn't see a lot of use but with 450bhp, rwd, no tc or abs it is hugely entertaining, will spin the rears at will in 3rd in the dry, 4th in the wet! Proper drivers car.

Great stuff mate, used to walk past one like yours on the way to school back in the day, and my mates dad had an xr4x4 in red which was gorgeous, I've only ever owned one "fast ford" a fiesta RS1800, long since written off now :(
