So your name means what?

Recommended Posts

Perhaps this already has been done but when i look at all these screen names some of them leave me wondering. the first that comes to mind would be you Mr. corpse thrower( i say Mr. because any one with a name like that could possible be an unstable individual[:D]) mine isn't too crazy, i love cars, mustangs and cobras inparticular hence the first part, slither. the 302 represents the 302ci V8 that i love to drive and work on. actually had slither for a vanity tag on one of my cobras much to the chagrine of my wife, she thought it sounded a little perverted. oh well guess she's not a car nut like me!

Well Mr Slither302:

My first real R/C car many years ago was a Tamiya.  I found TC and it was like I went back in time.  It was the begining all over again (like I returned to my roots).  So, back to my roots !  TC name was born :  backtomyroots [Y] !

Make sense [^o)].

I am a Diesel performance specialist.  My specialty is the Cummins B series 5.9 L inline six.  This is my screen name on all forums I use.

The name comes from owning too many RWD cars and not having enough bends to play!! Only off the Queens Highways though officer!![;)]

Mine's a movie quote from Men In Black II, when Will Smith is showing Tommy Lee Jones the ropes:

Tommy: I always drive, I remember that.

Will: No, you used to drive that old busted joint. I drive, the new hotness. Old n' busted (points to Tommy), new hotness.

Pause for one of Tommy's trademark deadpan stares.

Will (tosses the keys to Tommy): Old Busted Hotness!

Seemed appropriate.

I've used the name Mad Ax for years.

My real name is Alex, however I have a mate called Alan - so he gets called Al, I get called Ax.

The

Mad part is because I'm a huge fan of the Mad Max movies, I have a Mad

Max-style GSXR, I once started building a Mad Max-style capri 2.8i

too...

I used to DJ under the name Mad Ax, although recently I have brought that inline with my electronic music name, VARIANT.

Dee or better "D" as in "Dennis", my first name.

Miller as in "guy from the mill" as in "van der Meulen" which is a "miller" in Dutch, my last name.

I also use DJMiller for I record, copy or create samples myself and mix them together to a song (dance/trance/lounge music).

Also a very satisfying hobby (like: getting goosebumbs when a song is finished, then you know it's finished...brrrrr!).

Maybe you've heard about it in the "scene" (Firefly, Forest Vibes, Sad Dream, Cosmic Journey, Bandits, Cruchy Punchy (which is my favourite as it has the Magnum tune in it)).

DJ Tiesto has some of my samples....sssshhhh!!! don't tell anyone!!![;)]

Dee.

Was known as Biggus Dickus for many years (reference to a charactor Monty Python film, Life of Brian), as my name is Richard (Biggus as... well I aint exactly slim and Di ck is often used for shortening the name Richard)

Dickus got corrupted to Ditchus after I had an incident in a Nissan Cherry Turbo when I parked it sideways at high speed into a ditch (had suspension failure halfway round a corner.)  I dont recommend this, it wasnt a pleasant experience, although I did get towed out by a Lamborghini (unfortunately it was a Tractor).

The damage to the shell is obvious, the wheel is also pointing at an odd angle which was the cause of the incident.

The rear trailing arm on those things are wafer thin, they bend if you look at them angrily, as you unfortunatly found out (Im a car freak, not just r/c ones)

Yup, had only just modded the engine up to just over 180bhp (not bad for a 1500cc turbo), so when engine was transplanted into the next cherry, we beefed up the trailing arm mounting points.

The whole car was wafer thin, checkout the folding in the quarter panel, Im just thankful for the immense strut brace that was accross the front shock mounts.

Well, how can I explain Kontemax?

My name is Massimo and often the people call me Max. Konte means Count and is a title (like Lord for example). Conte Max is also a famous italian movie so it sounds familiar and well known. But I'm not really a noble and a gentleman but a idiot punk so the correct italian word "CONTE" has be changed to "KONTE" that seems a little bit more anarchist and desecrating. My friends gave me this nickname joking with my non "noblesse", so now I'm Kontemax.

Cheers

Max

Mine is quite simple. My name is Robert and in Sweden the nickname for Robert is Robban. I am very fond of Impreza's I have had two of them, not right now though. The first one was a MY00 and the last one a MY01 wich is called WRX here in Sweden so the name RobbanWRX got stuck after that.

Thunderbug is simply a mix of Stadium Thunder which is one of my all time favourite tamiyas and the fact that I love the off-road buggies. Nothing to do with my real name what-so-ever.[:)]

I took my screen name from Saito Hajime, leader of the the 3rd Shinsngumi unit.  An excellent swordsman, he was known for his impressive left handed thrust (I too, am left handed).  Saito was also brief and to the point with little room for small talk.  My mates claim I am like this in person, though I've never thought of it.
