After the F350, what truck would you like to see being released?

I'm thinking in terms of Dakar racers, Australian freightliners, European/American trucks, Kippers, 4x4x4, 8x4 etc.

Body design, interiour wishes, hop-ups, MFD functions etc.

Name it, be specific.

I'm asking this because maybe you'll see some of your ideas released in the future.

No, I'm not playing Santa but he's very near...

So shoot!

Well Dee. This is coverd in this forum a couple of times before, but I have nothing against joining a new one if you promise action[:D] You could try to search for "next hi-lift body" or somthing similar.

Anny way, being a man living in Europe. I am going in that direction. And if the car/truck have to be new, there is not really much of a choice. I must say that when it comes to offroadres they are going in the wrong direction! I hate the round design of the new pickup's, and all the plastic on the H2/H3 and so on. Also big poluting, big motor american "onroad" cruiser pickup trucks I hate! So... The only cool, new ofroader you can by in my country to day are the Defender! That is tru to its basic practicall lines. No fuzzy makup on this things witch is how a real offroader should be. Another new truck that I think is exciting is the Unimog. You would probably not aford to buy the 1/1 version of the new Black civil Unimog, so making a RC would be a great idea I think! Also bigger wheels and a lot of offroad mod's could be done without making it un scale.

If you also mean older offroad truck body's, there is a lot of good choises, but I end it here for now.

Cheers

Anders

i forgot to mention the range rover classic for a 4 linked high lift chassis

a range rover sport for a tourer chassis

a defender (90 or 110) for a lift chassis

disco 3 for a tourer chassis

some off road accesories for the shells like winches and snorkels and rollcages/bars and roof racks. to make it easier to customise your shell.

cheers

I sound broken record...a dually like the one build by Tamiyafever?(sorry if I give credit to the wrong TC member) but in a tow truck!

A lower ride verison of the Pumpkin would be neat.

The big hoisting riggs (mobile crane) with legs that extend out to form a stable platform.

A cement mixer truck would be different.

WWII GI transport truck, the one with dual axle at the back like the old power wagen.

Personally i'd like to see a Renault 440Dxi 3 axel 1/14th scale truck. Would save me building my own one for a start lol. I'd also like to see them making a tri-axel european scale trailor instead of the American 2 axel ones. Surely we have enough intrest in the EU for then to recognise that we would like to have our own scale trailors and not just limited to the american ones.

But i guess i'll be left to build my own unit and trailor, god only knows how long it will take e or what chassis i will use [:S]...Suggestions welcome guys lol.

I would love to see a Jeep M715

on a Hi-Lift chassis with slightly larger tires. Unless Santa is real,

I know this is never going to happen, for the M715 is such an obscure,

and underrated, truck. To some up my feelings about it click here!

Hi Dee,

Feel hardly qualified to reply to this one as I have yet to build anything!!!!! Me and my son will be doin' a Christmas and New Yaer build on the TXT-1.

However.....I reckon that 'focus1'' 's suggestions about a Land-Rover Defender certainly get my vote. A series 1 landrover defender short wheel base pick up would be nice. We need something from Land-Rover.

How about a Land-Rover with a working fire-hydrant!!!

I think I'm starting to rant....

Yes a Landy would be very nice and easy choice as it fits a stock F350 chassis almost like a glove, same those toy bodies are so rare

If you're gonna have a Land Rover though, you definitely need either some variants or one with a working winch.

We all must have built the tamiya kit of this, so how about a RC one!! :)

A landy would be great!

I'd like to see more European tractor units and some new trailers. Like the new Volvo's and Scanias that you see on the roads every day. New trailers like 3 axle Euro trailers, a curtain-side, perhaps even a tipper, cement mixer, low-loader.... and if they are feeling really brave a mobile crane! haha

If I may add a few suggestions: http://www.trucksfromholland.nl/index.php?page=3

The dutch Dakar Truck Team (Jan de Rooy).

They have won the Dakar Rally and I would like to see some more winners in the Dakar Trucks.

Sealed gearbox, sealed radiobox etc.

Prefered with a 3 or 4-speed gearbox.

Dakar is pretty popular and has several countries joining this series so you can pick your country to organise a race with several trucks.[H]

I prefer the Dutchies!

Ooh. Some Dakar stuff would be cool.

I'd also like to see some proper Icelandic Glacier Trucks. Like this

After all, most people want trucks either to look cool, or for their crawler/off-road ability. This would be able to be used as a crawler, a plain garden basher, and also has huge potential for a "proper" old-style Tamiya kit, rather than a Lexan.

Today, I was wondering why Tamiya has such a big name in RC and static kits.

In general, you just hit the nail on the head as I think Tamiya had never been this succesfull when they didn't released the hard body 934 which was a very detailed car compared to the ones available at that time.

We all like scale bodies I guess (both hard body and Lexan®) so if Tamiya will keep on concentrating on the detail (prefered hard body), they're going the right way.

Besides scale, realism also counts.

I prefer "real-life sponsor decals" instead of superlatives like "Thunder Tires" or things like "Brite Lights", makes me laugh.

Ok, sometimes copyrights are a pain in the butt but it's just what I prefer.

Good-Year or Hella just sounds better...

Tires and rims: same story: a real-life pattern and shape (like spikes are soooo passé! duh...)

I don't want my car to look cheap or toyish (like the plastic one-run-only toys in supermarkets).

So I would like to see SCALE and REALISM and when wandering through the topic, I think it's what we all want...
