Hi all,

I am to built a TA03F Impreza...

But, also, trying to make my own body to it...

Fibreglass and so on...

Anybody else who has done this?

Maybe some hints on the subject?

All the best,

Jakob Kuhlstroem

Hi Jakob, WillyChang is quite correct, fibreglass is very heavy. I just finished a project using a toy car shell which was made of fibreglass (or so it would appear as it has the signs of being hand layed up on the inside) and the shell weighs 500g.

Why do you need to make your own shell? - there are plenty of subaru impreza shells out there from many different manufacturers. It is probably the most common shell on any R/C car.

i did this a few years ago, filled a renualt laguna shell with plaster of paris and put it in the schools vacuum former, worked perfectly and saves £20 a time on shells!
