Everyone keeps saying how blisteringly fast the grasshopper would be with these kind of motors, so, my question is.....I used to run a Schumacher Fireblade and a Cougar 2000 with 11T motors and Tekin ESCs, using them as a speed guide, how fast would the grasshopper be, slower, same, faster? Thanks.

Well as I said in a post today (probably the one you are talking about)

I ran my grasshopper with an 11t and it would go blisteringly fast but you cant get the power down to the ground the wheels just spin! it would be fine in a DI but the grasshopper's tires just spin up and also the suspension is very crude (I am not running oil's)

but If you could get the power down (flat over 200mtrs) then you would look at a very high speed (but that is all I can give as I have never seen the a  "Schumacher Fireblade and a Cougar 2000"

Compared with race buggies you will find the Grasshopper ios faster in a straight line, assuming a flat enough surface to get the power down. It will never go round a corner though.

In the 80s we had a top driver at my club running a Grasshopper. As it was lighter than everything else he was always first into the first corner and always last out of it.

this GH might interest you guys http://www.tam.ne.jp/nic/grh/grh00.html should handle better than standard

Oh my [:o]!

What a Grasshopper!  The pictures alone made me wanna drive it.

I really liked how he stashed all the electronics in a CPR unit case - neat little details all over!

And the use of the TA04 suspension bits is a stroke of genius[Y] I think I'm going to look into doing something similar with my Blitzer Beetle
