Hi all

Anyone got a good scan of the gate
needed for a Futaba 4ex radio so I can get the gear control working correctly
as it’s almost imposable to get a smooth operation by hand.

I know I can get a carbon gate
from stella but I feel it’s a bit expansive and I’m fairly sure with a good
scan that I could make one from mild aluminium or stiff plastic

Thanks

Jay

1:1 scale drawings to make your own shiftgates are included in the F350 kit, didn't yours have that sheet???

Also at $7 I personally dont find the Stella one really expensive?

Cheers

No sheet with mine :-(

The stella one isn't bad but the shipping bumps it up but I just feel for such a small Item I would prefer to DIY

Has anyone got a scan of the sheet?

I agree with Theo as they are a lot harder to make than you think.  After you get done, your going to wish you spent the $11.99 to buy one.

Hi,

I agree with Theo and Shodog, but just in case you still want to give it a try, I made a scan of the shiftgate sheet tonight. You can pick it up here:

As it will not surely print in exact 1/1 scale on your printer, you probably need a reference measurement; the shiftgate in the lower right corner (Multiplex) is exactly 50mm in diameter on the original sheet.

Thanks for the scan

Printed it out and I’m now waiting
on the paint drying for my colour matched gate

5 minuets work and a piece or
scrap 1.5mm plastic card from a model boat total cost  = nothing

Might not be everyone’s cup of tea
but beats waiting for the post and this might be the true Scotsman coming out
but I would rather save the £8 and put it towards a MFU[:)]

One can get it here in Hong Kong at LHS for about $3.50 retail.  I guess the LHS in the States or Europe is selling at $10.00 or $15.00 and at $7.00 plus postage is still a good deal.

cheers
