Hi Everyone,

I told a friend at work that I was getting back into RC cars.

He said he had 3 cars in a need of a little work that were taking up space in his house.

So he said I could have them. []

 

He just dropped them off.

Yep, that's a Sand Scorcher !! []

The Escort Cosworth is near complete, just needs a steering servo horn.

The Monster Beetle needs quite a bit of work, but is still salvageable.

The Sand Scorcher needs just a few odds and sods, can't wait to get it running.

Sorry I had to tell some people that would understand, the Mrs just doesn't get it.

 Do you Sand Scorcher runners have any good places to buy parts from or do you mostly use ebay ???

very very lucky man....

My dad gave a load of my cars away 4 years ago b4 i got back into r/c.

not much tho  959, clod and a very mashed avante...

only discovered he gave them to a car booter last year. []

And he had binned the boxes, which had lived in the loft of his house for years.

Thanks for the replies.

I have nearly got the Escort RS running, I have ordered some parts today.

I

have been outbid on some S.S. parts []  mainly the long steering

servo rod, It happends, nothing is gonna put me in a bad mood !

Ordered some new tyres.

I got the period radio equipment working [Y] 

I debating wether or not to buy a new shell for the MB ? The one I have has a nasty repair on the bonnet.

It's only gonna be a runner, but I like my models to look nice.

Nice one! These type of occurances are getting rarer and rarer, nearly everyone knows about ebay and it only takes a minute to value something you have by searching a completed listing or watching an item.
