Shed a tear for the TXT that never had a chance to run as stock [:(] After building the tranny and axles (axles using RCALLOYS diff lockers) I attacked the side plates with a saw and grinder to remove the lower portion. This increases ground clearance.

I installed a Hyperion Z3013 outrunner in place of the brushed motors for more torque, better braking and hill-holding ability, using a Mamba Max speedo. I used a cover plate from my Hornet to block off the other motor's mounting hole.

I set it up with a 14 inch wheelbase using short links all around, after drilling a few extra holes in my chassis. Since I raised the tranny, and there is no no place for the lower mounts to bolt onto, I made a new rear trans mount using some C-channel aluminum, caputured by the cross braces.

I installed Revo driveshafts and Duratrax white springs, with a stock spring on the right rear to control torque twist. The Revo shofts bolt right onto the axles but require a bit of finesse to go onto the tranny. They are close to unbreakable. I also made a 4+2 saddle pack, installed low in the chassis.

I'm still waiting for some wheel adaptors and servo mounts. The mounts from Bender Customs will let me mount the servos and steering linkage behind the axles, where they won't get bashed on the rocks. The wheel adaptors allow the use of Pro-Line's 23mm hex wheels. I have a set of Maxx Mashers ready, on narrowed rims.

I used a Pro-Line F-100 body, painted like Uncle Jesse's truck from the Dukes of Hazzard TV series, since I have the beard already.

Once the rest of my parts arrive, I'll be ready to hit the rocks [H]
