Well, fellas, the inevitable day is approaching - for those of us who will be pinned down by the other half who is expecting the most thoughtful, romantic gift ever !  Now, I already told her to "get used" to disappointment BUT what I'm wondering is - who has the craftiest surprise on TC for the other half ?

My wife's birthday falls on Valentines day also.  So whatever I do, it's got to be good.

My best one was that I cooked a nice steak and lobster dinner but didn't tell her.  I had decorated a secluded picnic table in a wooded park.  My plan was to bring her there then spring the dinner on her.  Well the weather didn't cooperate and it was raining cats and dogs. But in the end it worked to my advantage as she felt sorry for all the work I did which upped the bonus points in the sympathy category. The end result of "Getting Lucky" was the same as if the dinner went on without a hitch.

Well I know it is not my other half… But I have helped my Bro set up all of the plans up for his wife’s secret little trip to Gretna green (The Wife “my Sister in law” here birthday is on valentines day and they were married 3 days before valentines day so it is kind of special.) I can’t tell the plans though (never know she could be reading.)

Well - cooking some steak & lobster ! Very well done (except in my case she's a vegetarian).  we are planning to go away "down south" for the week of Valentine's so I have a "Message in a bottle" on order - with a special message !  I think it will be fitting considering our location [;)].

I have nothing planned... at this rate I think I will still be lucky to

have a girlfriend by Valentine's day...  So, with that in mind, if

she's still mine on that day, she'll probably wake up to find the world

at her feet with a red ribbon around it [:)]

With the new baby, I think the wife is simply hoping for a "complete 24hrs off" from everything!

Guess I have a busy day planned, especially if I intend to manage to make a nice meal as well!

Lemming - it's not hard to make a nice meal fella!

Go to the place where you exchange money for goods ( not eBay! ) and buy;

Bread

Beans

( if you don't have one already ) Toaster

Then, go home, put the beans in a pan till they ignite ( properly done ) and the bread in the toaster untill it's black and smoking.

Lovely beans on toast!

( And the wife will NEVER ask you to cook again! )

Errm, not got much planned, i'm a bit single at the moment, LOL!
