It was like Christmas today at the Shodog household.  It was almost too much excitement to bear.  The Two Super Champs showed up.  The Knight Hauler, 2 Multifunction units and the Aluminum wheels I ordered from Stellamodells.  Last but not least the two Packages from Tower hobbies containing two four channel radios and some extra Buggy Spike and Sand Paddle tires I included in the order so that I could hit the $149 mark and get $25 off each order.

Ooh, one with a rough box to build, one with a tidy box to put on the shelf!  How convenient [:D]

Let's have a build thread of the Super Champ and the Hauler, please...?

All of this started with $200 I got from my mother-in-law, a few smart buys and some of the parts I have been hoarding in boxes for a few years.

I won the super champs from eBay for $600 and $700

The more I look at the rough boxed SC the more I want to build it but how do you justify tearing into blisters that have been sealed for over 20 years?

One NIB is extravagent. Two is depriving an object of fulfilling it's function in life.

Free the Super Champ one! Then it can laugh at the other one all stuck in it's blisters, unable to feel the grass on it's tyres and the wind in it's resistor. Bwahaha. I'm free and you're stuck in a box!

Ahem.

Yes i have to agree set one free it would be a just cause to cut those blisters if you document the whole build for us. Plus who better to set it free and make it sparkle i love the super champ and cant wait to see if you do build it :)

Nothing a good old X-acto no.11 blade cant do for you[;)], You'll still have a NIB super champ to look into so you wont regret it that much at all!!

Shodog, think of it like this:

If you don't build it and document the build process, you are denying every member of this forum that in no way could find or afford to buy such a kit the chance to experience building a fresh out of the box Special Racing Buggy.

The iconic Tamiya chassis.....the most desirable series of all.

Would you really deprive your fellow members of this experience? Hmmmmm????
