Hi all,

I have just sprayed my Hotshot II body set and have got slight overspray on the outside.

What is the best method of getting rid of the overspray on the lexen body?

Sorry if this question has been posted before, i did a search and couldn't find anything [:(]

Many thanks, Russ

Nitro fuel on kitchen towel roll. Just use your nail under the saturated kitchen roll and it'll come off no problem. It can be fresh or bone dry, but I find it easier to make minor adjustments when it is still a bit gummy and has been dry for days.

I have used a T-cut scratch remover paste to clean up paintwork, it removes a light layer of paint every time you polish ,especially if it is fresh paint. It is lexan friendly ,and i use it to polish up my SRB radio boxes too , do a test area first though just to be safe  .[;)]

I've just had the exact same problem - started to spray my Tamtech 934 body - and as soon as made the first pass with the can - I thought there's something wrong here - in my haste to see how it looked I'd forgotten the window masks!!  - DOH.

Anyway I masked it properly , painted it , and then as Kev the Rev said , used car polish (Autoglym) on the inside of the windows and the overspray came right off. I'd always try a polish first , then if that doesn't work move up to something coarser such as T-Cut.

Thats right Mark ,the T-cut scratch remover i use is not as fierce as T-cut rubbing compound , it is suprisingly gentle on plastics and paint but effective as it is for 1:1 car bodies with modern metalic / laquer paint finishes  [:D]
