Do the ss TA04's need special shells?

Yes, the SS version of the TA-04 has a shorter wheelbase - I beleive it was 247mm from the top of my head. So they also need a shorter wheelbased shell. The shortend wheelbase is made by using different rear arms - replace these with the stock TA-04 parts and you will lose the short wheelbase and you are able to use 257mm bodies. Hope this helps! []

Only 3 shells were made for the SS. The Audi in blue or yellow(same car), carbon fiber Toyota MR-S, and the normal MR-S. I got a Panoz shell from Parma and cut it to the right specs. It looks ok, bad color though. Anyways, you can cut any shell to fit but will look different.
