As far as I am aware, there is no Tamiya ball diff that fits the Stadium Thunder. There might be a aftermarket ball diff that fits, something intended for the Falcon may fit? That would be quite hard to find though... [V]

What are you trying to achieve? If it's heavy off-road traction your after, then you could try locking the diff completely. However, the on-road handling would suffer. If it's a 'limited slip' effect that you want, then some heavy grease in the gear diff might work. This is all guess-work however!

Well, a gear diff has, in low grip condition, to 'diff out': which means transfering all power to the wheel with the least grip. This may lead to loose of traction. For a crawler, the solution would be to lock them for ultimate traction (no diffing out at all). But for a quick, swift cornering stadium truck, a locked axle will be far from ideal as handeling and cornering behaviour will greatly suffer. So a ball diff or LSD would be the best option.

Very viscous ('thick') grease in a gear diff will help preventing the diffing out, a cheap and simple mod that is worth a try for sure! I have done it on my KBF with good results though the effect weared off a bit after some use, the grease 'escaped' to the outdrives. A ball diff would be better still, but then again if there is none avaliable you haven't got much choice really. I suggest to try some 'thicker' grease. [;)]
